hey guys, i heard that Final Fantasy XIII been freezing PS3 and caused problems to PS3...is this problem solved?

Played and finish the game, no freezing at all

freeze on me. i play it. and its freeze. cannot move on. then i quite play. givup ady. waste 10hours of gameplay.

hmmm....what version of the game did both of u played? as in which region, which label?

play it R2 black label. dont know if my console got prob. if you want, can give you 1 week for try.

Played R3 Chinese/English version. A few of my friends played the JP version that comes with the Lightning theme PS3 consoles, didn't hear them complaining the game hang.

Last time I played FF13 on my fat ps3, I had no freezing problems. Now I am on slim and I played FF13 chinese/english version also no problem.

I played ffxiii R2 99 hours no problem.
I played ffxiii R3 chinese/japanese 20+ hours no problem.

not a single freeze for the entire game.

yeah, no problem playing ff13 all this while with my slim console, even the fat one before that. maybe bad case of luck for others?

I just bought a ps3 slim since my old 1 died but i can't seem to register it online since i wasn't sure if i inputted the serial and model number correctly though i think i did but it kept saying invalid x_X what gives...

Surf over to Asia Playstation (MY) website. Look for the customer service number there and call them. They will register your ps3 for you.

Yeah i will be doing that but apparently i have a new problem now. It seems the ps3 seems to keep flickering/blinking at the xmb. I'm not really sure whether is my monitor issue, the cable or the ps3 itself. My monitor can support 1080 resolution and i was using a hdmi cable to connect to it. I have double checked everything though i have not tested it on another lcd screen nor another hdmi cable but im really hoping that is not the ps3's gpu thats faulty.

try untick the 1080 display in the PS3 system setting.

I did read about it in alot of playstation forums and its apparently about HDCP handshake issue but i don't understand it works alright on my old fat ps3 as it was able to go full HD.
