Yea,im facing the same problem with the new sharp aquos,it interferes badly with my Astro remote, the symptoms are hard to change channels, astro decoder not responding with the remote, the light on the remote stays blinking.I realised that sharp had interfered with my astro decoder when i tried switching off the tv and change the astro channel with the remote and it's working perfectly without the tv running.thanks However,we can try to resolve this problem by switching off some settings in the sharp tv.first u can try turning off the OPC features(optical picture control sensor). You can try this approach first, then u give me the feedback. |

wireless interferences are unavoidable if the frequency or signal "accidentally" match with other equipments and equipments just follow the signal received and carry out the activities accordingly...
example like car remote control, i believe some of us know that we may accidentally unlock other cars alarm system by using our remote control if the frequency or signal are matched... unless there have the licensed frequency or signal for each manufacturers of their products and definitely other manufacturers no allowed to use the licensed frequency or signal which no "owned" by them... otherwise all the manufacturers can use the any universal / public frequency or signal and for sure will interfere each others... so far as i know no such control or rules & regulation yet as no massive power transmit concerned which enough to effect sensitive equipments' operation... In fact, the B.yond remote is very responsive! I've contacted Sharp to ask if they have a solution and I'll share it here if they do. I emailed them only.. if any of u extra rajin want to call them, please call them at 1800 888 678 and please share if there's a solution to it!
