Hi, Fornaxlife. It's me again. I just flashed to Darky 9.3 last night.
When I read about the features posted for Darky 9.3. I can see many of them in my newly flashed phone. Eg. 350MB RAM, toast box notification, kernel is still voodoo (last part of the features did mention it's speedmod. Strange. Why huh? Did I download the wrong file?
By the way, I download the modem from front page. It's a zip file. How to install?

Does any one out there know why some of my apps being strike with a centreline and can't be restored back into my phone?

And I find that the Z4ROOT just won't work anymore. Arghh.... Have to use superoneclick!

I'm not really good at Superoneclick. Any working z4root or other simpler root apps?

Well, I downloaded the firmware from Samfirware site.
Only one .tar file. Not sure about bootloader.
I flashed with odin 1.8 with the option of bootloader. But I didn't tick on it. So, not sure what's going on.

At first use of the latest official ROM, it really looks snappy.
Media scanning is fast, shut down time fast, quite impressive.
I haven't even applied Speedmod Kernel.
But I'm restoring all my apps now. Then compare again.
Basically, I'm flashing back to Original ROM is because I wanna check my GPS problem. On Darky 9.3 before. Can't detect my position. Lbs test only lock on one satellite. Pethetic huh?

Sorry to say that I don't like it. Too bulky. One of the reason I bought SGS is its dimension. Slimmmmm...

I find that the latest Samsung Original firmware is snappy. I can't really see the difference between Darky 9.3 ROM (of course no benchmark, just my personal feel...hehe) and that's original kernel, aka 2.6.32.9 root @avad-server #8 (Still RFS ??? Not sure about it)

Now, question is should I flash to speedmod kernel?? Hmm....

Why voodoo sound and sharpness fix?
I think Samsung Original photos looks nice......
Any apps/ way to check sharpness and sound? (My ears and eyes might not be sensitive) lol.

I like the one in Darky 9.3 ROM. So nice.
But I'm now back to Original ROM already, and no recording conversation function.

Flashed to ZSJPJ yesterday. I think the original kernel is faster.
Because after I flashed to Speedmod kernel k13c-500Hz, found that no different. May be I need to do some tweak, do I?
Anyway, speedmod kernel drains battery very much faster than the original ROM...
So, guys know which to choose, right?

Just wanna ask any sifu here. Can I create an update.zip in kitchen Rom just to install some apps that I like and also keyboard and also bootanimation using cwm mod into darky Rom or samsung original Rom?
