It is better if you overclock manually because there might be some settings the "Auto OC Genie" doesn't do.

Am running this rather old system and am playing Battlefield on it (not bad lah, boleh main at 800x600)

CPU : Intel Dual-Core E2140 1.6GHz
PSU : Vantec ION2+ 600W
Mobo : ASUS P5QL-Pro
GPU : Zotac 9600GT AMP! Edition

Days before this I overclocked my PC to 2.4GHz, it was stable and about few minutes ago, I pushed it further to 2.7GHz with only stock cooler (waiting for Venomous X) and am getting 70-ish degree Celcius running full load with Prime95. hmm.gif

Idle : 39`c
Load : ~70`c

Re-run the Prime95 test on full load again, temp goes up to 60ish only. Which is 10 degree lesser than earlier. hmm.gif

This overclocking is fine, right Sifus?

Nid sifu here,
I am very noob on Overclock, what i do is just follow the tutorial from youtube here the link: <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0wN3W_BzhY>

Today try to follow the tutorial overclock my processor to 4.0 Ghz, luckily it work. I will list out what i did on BIOS, Sifu please have a look is there any wrong?
1. CPU ration (Auto>Manual) set to 40
2. Internal PPL OverVoltage (Disable to Enable)
3.Turbo boots power limit (Auto> Manual)
3.1 Short Duration Power Limit set to 150
3.2 Long Duration Power Limit set to 150
4.Spread Spectrum (Auto>Disable)
5.Cpu Core Voltage (Auto>Offset Mode)
5.1 Offset Voltage +0.015V

Tat all i mod in BIOS Setting. Currently PC is running 4000.07 Mhz from Real Temps GT. Also, i run Prime95 as well. But i dunno exactly what to choose for the setting. I just choose Blend.

My spec is:
MB: Asrock Z68 Extreme 4
CPU: i7-2600k

Please sifu give some recommendation

can some one help me, im very nood in OC,
i've ran the auto OC on my pc,
then i want to go back to the default setting so that my proc become un OC again,
so can anyone tell me the info of the default setting for change back to not OC again?

my spec:
Phenom II x4 960T
Asus M5A97

i notice that when Auto oc, the mobo just change the
cpu bus Frequency, cpu voltage and cpu/NB voltage.
so may i know the default value for those?
the cpu bus freq is 200 in default right?
how about the voltages?

You can clock your GC but it does require special tools. Google for it.

Bare in mind that you will void your machine warranty as well.

Thanks for giving me hope, although that was the idea 1 year ago.

Currently manage to upgrade to 4GB ram. But my 1.86GHz CPU always left behind.
But I think I'll not overclock my stock dell now as the cooling system wasnt that impressive, enough of invest in it already. icon_rolleyes.gif
