need to find the root cause fast, if the fungus grows alot, it will be hard to find. Usually it may due to water pressure to high and leak happens on the joints which are only glued. try to look at the top of the fungus area, it grows after the leakage. But it needs to hack the wall to fix this, no other solution i know of.
