@Holyboyz: Good eye.
@Grimm: Looks better in real life, but it's pretty much meant to have that rough-looking texture due to the mixed twill. Don't think it fades that well though tbh |

^ You probably know about it already, but check out Naked&Famous' Reverse Denim if you haven't yet. Most comprehensive photo set so far is on Hypebeast

QUOTE(Holyboyz @ Apr 28 2011, 08:41 AM) About to pull the trigger on a N&F w28 Slim Guy red selv From a forumer Those are my pics boyoPics » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thoughs? are they real? the color does not look like raw denim color thou pS: SHIT i Just notice the Similer Forum names.....if its you you'll know what im talking about... Anyway, of course they're real. == I have about 5 pairs of Naked&Famous jeans, and I regularly buy things through Jay, who runs Blue Owl Workshop. He's tight with Brandon, owner of N&F. I'm also cyber-pals with Josh, you may have heard him from the "not washing jeans for a year but no bacterial difference" article that made its rounds around the Internet a few weeks/months back. Dude's rocking an N&F collab right now. As for the colour, it's because of how the fabric was created. I hope the following helps, it's taken from the card that came with the jeans (I can include it if you want, but not really necessary lol). I'll type the shit out verbatim cos I f***ing love N&F. *** FLANNEL DENIM How do we make it? 1. Scratch the surface with a giant rake topped with very fine needles. This creates little rips and tears in the fabric surface. 2. Take a giant brush and brush the fabric in the opposite direction as the scratching. This raises the yarns, creating a soft and fluffy texture. 3. Repeat this process on both the outside and inside. Feel free to wear these commando! *** These jeans feel like the kind of gentle god's fabric you want to delicately cup your scrotum after a night-and-day-long orgy. They are smoother than the smoothest f***ing thing you've ever touched. They feel so badass, you'll wonder if they're jeans. They feel so fluffy, all other jeans will feel like wearing barbed f***ing wire. They feel like victory. EDIT, quick note: While the colour isn't the typical generic deep indigo or black, do note that these will typically wear/fade a lot slower. You'll probably have nice tonal contrast in the knees after a bit of wears, but the overall colour should hold for quite a long time. As for the cut, it's not skinny or weird. Which is funny, because the other two N&F cuts are Skinny Guy and Weird Guy. It's cut like a traditional repro cut but slimmer for a modern silhouette. The Nudie's Slim Jim cut is roughly similar but not quite. This post has been edited by linkinwayne: Apr 28 2011, 01:07 PM |

QUOTE(Grimm @ Apr 28 2011, 09:03 PM) Good to know we now have an N&F expert here ;] Lol he doesn't give me discounts though, he just helps me source out stuff. Like I was looking for the N&F gabardine suit recently (it's been discontinued) and he talked directly with the peeps at N&F to check the stock. Turns out nothing was left in my size, but at least I tried.Flannel denim eh? So you mentioned you're tight with Jay from Blue Owl Workshop. I might need you to hook me up with some KMW, when I feel like my pocket hasn't got a hole in it. If you need something from Blue Owl, I can get it proxied for you free of charge. Might be cheaper that way (also, not sure if they ship to Malaysia). By the way, Blue Owl's having a 25% off sale on tops and everything that's already on sale. Need to be an SF user to get the discount, so lemme know if any of you want anything, the sale's only on for a few more days IIRC |

QUOTE(Grimm @ Apr 29 2011, 01:37 AM) 25% off everything? Nope, 25% off tops and sales items only. I grabbed a pair of WvG chinos in expresso, only $75 +$10 shippingI saw the sale for KMW and.. it got me excited over nothing. I saw KMW as cheap as $125 which is more than half priced off $295. But I realised I got confused with Triple Works. I want the Triple Works for their backpocket fades. KMW is something I'd get if I have extra dough and not enough jeans - which I have - according to many people. |

QUOTE(Vryon @ Jul 2 2011, 01:01 PM) Had two pairs but I sold them before I came back. Definitely not worth full retail but I got a pretty good deal on them so I didn't mind.If you're willing to pay full retail, I can ask my friends in Canada. Should only be about RM30 extra to ship it over. |

QUOTE(g3n0c|d3 @ Nov 18 2011, 03:45 PM) Nah. There's always Kohzo. Iron Hearts are awesome but I hardly wore mine when I still had a pair. Ended up going back to APC or Dior most of the time, if only because I preferred the fit. |

QUOTE(apsidewatch @ Dec 8 2011, 02:50 PM) Just bought Naked&Famous Skinny Guy Indigo Broken Twill from Musa, size 28. I can button all up (barely). How much will it stretch guys? Planning to sell it if it doesn't stretch much. If you can button the top button, it'll stretch enough to fit you comfortably.Oh, they also have a Weird Guy 21 oz. Its rm1219 before 50% less. Free t shirts too, got 1 cheap monday grey M size (not my size..). For N&F, left skinny guy 30 indigo, 29 indigo & black( combined, or something like that), 29 skinny guy black, a few weird guy 31 iinm. All on display. |

QUOTE(Grimm @ Dec 10 2011, 11:40 AM) Ugh.. as thread starter and for one true to raw unwashed selvedge jeans - I personally do not encourage forummers to even look at adidas or zara or topman or dkny or CK or other wannabe selvedge jeans. They are brands riding on the hype and the quality of their mass-produced jeans are just not comparable. Being raw and / or selvedge isn't a guarantee of quality |
