Anyway, of course they're real. == I have about 5 pairs of Naked&Famous jeans, and I regularly buy things through Jay, who runs Blue Owl Workshop. He's tight with Brandon, owner of N&F. I'm also cyber-pals with Josh, you may have heard him from the "not washing jeans for a year but no bacterial difference" article that made its rounds around the Internet a few weeks/months back. Dude's rocking an N&F collab right now.

As for the colour, it's because of how the fabric was created. I hope the following helps, it's taken from the card that came with the jeans (I can include it if you want, but not really necessary lol). I'll type the shit out verbatim cos I f***ing love N&F.

FLANNEL DENIM
How do we make it?

1. Scratch the surface with a giant rake topped with very fine needles. This creates little rips and tears in the fabric surface.
2. Take a giant brush and brush the fabric in the opposite direction as the scratching. This raises the yarns, creating a soft and fluffy texture.
3. Repeat this process on both the outside and inside. Feel free to wear these commando!

These jeans feel like the kind of gentle god's fabric you want to delicately cup your scrotum after a night-and-day-long orgy. They are smoother than the smoothest f***ing thing you've ever touched. They feel so badass, you'll wonder if they're jeans. They feel so fluffy, all other jeans will feel like wearing barbed f***ing wire. They feel like victory.


EDIT, quick note: While the colour isn't the typical generic deep indigo or black, do note that these will typically wear/fade a lot slower. You'll probably have nice tonal contrast in the knees after a bit of wears, but the overall colour should hold for quite a long time.

As for the cut, it's not skinny or weird. Which is funny, because the other two N&F cuts are Skinny Guy and Weird Guy. It's cut like a traditional repro cut but slimmer for a modern silhouette. The Nudie's Slim Jim cut is roughly similar but not quite.

Not as aggressively tapered as weird guy, or violently skinny as skinny guy. Fits like a standard slim straight. Can always get it more tapered if you want, but don't think you should

Lol he doesn't give me discounts though, he just helps me source out stuff. Like I was looking for the N&F gabardine suit recently (it's been discontinued) and he talked directly with the peeps at N&F to check the stock. Turns out nothing was left in my size, but at least I tried.

Had two pairs but I sold them before I came back. Definitely not worth full retail but I got a pretty good deal on them so I didn't mind.

Air it out after wearing, and try freezing the jeans in a ziplock bag for a few days.

Iron Hearts are awesome but I hardly wore mine when I still had a pair. Ended up going back to APC or Dior most of the time, if only because I preferred the fit.

True to size is fine, can try sizing down but it won't fit on everyone. Top block is smaller than Weird Guy cutting

If you can button the top button, it'll stretch enough to fit you comfortably.
