guess wat .. apparently the tak tak tak sound is coming from the boot stopper (those 2 rubber "cork" at the door. they adjusted it and put a bit of rubbery tape on it to minimize.. so far i havne't heard anything yet on the way back home. still need to try for few days and see whether is that the real cause.

Interesting, the smallest things can cause the biggest headache sometimes! I need to get my rubber linings greased a bit. Seems a little dry now and can hear it especially when I take hard corners
*
yah apparently the locking mechanism at the base of the boot (near bumper). it's like a flapping lip. u can push it in.. those also they put some kind of tape to lessen the sound... weird lah this VW.. sudah mcm proton ...haha.

rear view is OK. ferrari's smaller. if you drive as fast as me, you rarely see the rear anyway  thumbup.gif

performance wise, it's the same. independent testing at racetrack with equally good race drivers put the roc -0.1s slower than the gti.

the main difference is, gti is 4 wheel drive. roc is 2 wheel. some love 4 wheel driving, the feeling of 4wd, etc. while i love 2 wheel driving, drifting, etc.

so it's up to you really on how you like to drive.
*
GTI is 4WD meh ? thot it's Front Wheel drive only ? if not mistaken the Golf R is AWD

The reading u get after u pumped it full doesn't reflect the FC of your new fuel lah.
*
normally is quite accurate for me... coz fr history .. after full pump .. if it shows me ard 480km (till next refill) usually i get about 500km( very heavy footed).... anyways so far this petronas showing me fulltank (till next refill 550km)... so hpoefully will b more (same mode of driving style)... still havne't finished my first tank of petronas.. half tank mark now... so far so good ...

this scirocco byk pasal lah ..
My car shudders when i accelerates... e.g. fr 2nd/3rd gear crusing 30km/h or so .. when u press the gas for short burst .. the whole car/gearbox/engine (not sure) will shudder or vibrates a bit ... *sigh*...

p/s: the tak tak tak sound fr the rear is back... now they suspect is the hydraulics holding up the boot lid making the noise... prev they say is the exhaust heat vent...

sucks lah ... problem onli

About 550km for a full tank of Ron95
Don't worry bro, I have the same response. But I learned only if I press the pedal midway. If I press it a little bit more, there is less vibration. I had the APR guy with me in the car when I had this problem. His diagnostic is that its definitely not the gearbox but either engine mounting (not too likely) or the wheels itself. Since I know that I did the rims spraying and all and I didn't align my wheels so there might be an issue there as well. I also know that you sprayed your rims matte black, did you get it re-aligned?
*
well after spraying it .. they did balancing & alignment lah ... dunno lah ... they asked me to come back another day for a full-day investigation (coz they were bz with the grand opening). hope can get it resolved. Coz my ears particularly sensitive to irritating noise in the car... haha

Mesti brother

Also, it involves a lot of opening trim and guiding the wire all the way from the bootlid to the HU. If you get it installed at a shop, they should VAGCOM it for you.

I for one, would not have the bola-bola to DIY sweat.gif
*
Eh I Thot u DIY ur rcd510 installation?
