Hi, need advice on this. I've a friend who is coming back to from the States in April 11th. I did asked him to buy and he said they can only ship fastest after 3 weeks which if he ordered today it would be 29th March is the earliest date it might be arriving. Then again it might be delay and if he returned back to Malaysia, his parent in US need to ship it to Malaysia with additional cost.

Question is do you guys think it will be available in Malaysia in Mid April already ? and what is the average shipping cost from US ?

Err.. Ya.. Make sure we get our wallet ready.. For ipad3 perhaps? Lolz..

I think Apple have prepared for this time since they have experienced of the 1 Gen iPad sales last year, perhaps a lil' earlier than the 1 gen but not as early as April or May. By then we might still have 6-9 months period before the announcement of iPad 3(Retina Display....cross our fingers).

by that time we can sell our ipad2 at garage sale and buy ipad3 @appleonline. 

OT: just receive email notification that apple is delivering my DIGITAL AV ADAPTER-ZML,  IPAD SMART COVER BLACK-USA, and IPAD SMART COVER PINK-USA to my friend's house.... *sigh*ipad itself will be delivered on 1st April*sigh*

Apple places the highest priority to the US first(first wave), then it shall distribute to countries which has Apple Retail (weird exception of China) (second wave), and some parts of Europe.
Since Singapore happens to be the Apple Regional Centre in SEA, they always get stuff before we do(third wave).
And then only we will get it(final wave).

And since the stock demand is so high, i still think that the Malaysian launch will be somewhere in June - July.
Please consider that there are nearly 200 million probable iOS users all around the world. As for the iPad alone, last year's iPad launch garnered over 300,000 iPads sold in the first day alone.
Foxconn or whoever manufactures the iPads will be incapacitated if Steve says "You've gotta make 200 million iPads in 3 months."

US apple online store charged tax on top of the price for ipad 2.
Depend on the state, the tax varies..

How did some LYN seller plan to sell ipad 2 without considering US sales tax.?
JUst wondering..

I shipped mine to Oregon, 0% sales tax. 

Does that mean the credit card also need to be from Oregon?? Or not.
