I called Pathlab and they informed me that they do have STD test, rm180, which includes herpes type 1 n 2, HIV, chlamydia n syphilis tests. At the same time i also enquired from another clinic, which also offer STD test rm170 + around rm80 for full normal check up= rm250, the clinic's offer is cheaper.

I wanna ask if let's say someone goes for the STD test, n the result is he dun have STD, no herpes. N from now on, he dun engaged in risky sexual behaviour. Will the virus is hidden in the body till his body immune system is weak/down, then only the virus/STD begins to show up? Or once the report said no STD, meaning no STD forever? (as long as he dun engaged in risky sexual behaviour)

hi.
first of all. please do understand that there is a window period for each infection. i am going to list those periods here
1) HIV has window period of 3 months no less and not more. for an ease of mind do test at 6-8 weeks and follow by another 3 months.
2) syphillis, gornohea & chlamydia would require 4- 6 weeks
3) herpes like hiv has a window period of 3 months. it is advisable to perform the test with an igg.
if you test negative outside the window periods the please do yourself a favor. stay relax and thank God.

It will be too early to pick anything from a test. You should return a month later for a screening.

No..urs information is wrong. 10% will be very very alarming. It is still no way closer to a 1% yet.

chances are you were infected from hsv not from this case. 2 out of 10 will feel symptoms of hsv, where the remaining 8 either feel very very mild symptoms to no symptoms. HSV does not have serious complication, cold virus complication are in fact much more severe if left untreated. thanks

For HIV, each individual immune is different, test in 1st month, 3rd month, 6 months, 12 months, after a year test again 3rd month, if still negative, you're free from HIV virus.

Are you absurd or still living in the 70's? 6 months and 12 months? Learn your things before guiding others!!!
