that's not going to help.......

1. yasmin cannot be used in yuzpe method.....
2. taking oral contraceptive pill after unprotected sex doesn't work unless you follow yuzpe method properly.

but lets not get all gloomy and anxious first......

1. when is the last known mentrual period? is the period regular?
2. using any contraception method(s)?
*
1. last period was on 18 august and regular. But this time around 18 september she had spotting and mild bleedings.
2. what is yuzpe method and how to do it properly? can enlighten me on this ?

ok......

and the unprotected sex is on 16 september? (2 weeks back)

if that is the case then very unlikely to be pregnant.

anyway, the management is the same. if next period didn't come, go to clinic to check up.

yuzpe method is a method of EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION using contraceptive pills.

how to do it properly? depends on what type of contraceptive pill(different pill have different concentration of estrogen and progesterone) . the general principle is 100mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 0.5 mg levonorgestrel ASAP and 12 hours later another dose.

anyway, i don't recommend using it if you don't know how to use it. most people don't know how anyway.........and mistakes do happen.
there are other methods of emergency contraception( there's a lot of info in this thread already).

so, do use protection unless you are planning to have a child. cheers.

Nothing much you can do other than chillax and wait for your body to regulate its own hormones.

If it's taking too long, go see a gynae.

In our country, it's either Postinor or Escapelle. Both works the same. Check with your local pharmacist.

ECP works effectively up to 72 hours after intercourse. It's way pass 72 hours for your 1st intercourse. Do the math.

Why not? The sooner you take it, the better. Follow the instructions in the box or ask your pharmacist.

Hi, I had intercourse during 19th June, my wife's last period started on 4th June so i assumed we had sex during her most fertile period. During the intercourse, the condom slipped off and i ejaculated, but i dont think i ejaculated in her as i pulled out immediately. She went to wash up immediately. She took the Postinor pills 12hrs later. As the pharmacist mentioned to us that she will start bleeding from the pills within 5 to 7 days. Till today the 9th day, she felt no effect, no bleeding too. Her expected next period will start on 2nd July.
( She usually does not feel pain or cramps during her period)

What do I have to expect. Im quite worried about her being pregnant as we had not planned to have one.

Hi, i my last menstrual cycle starts at 23rd July and the coming one expected to be at 17th august since i have a regular short menstrual cycle of 25 days. I had sex on 30th july, my partner wore condom halfway through sex but i was worried for the precum bcos it was my fertile week and so i bought prostinor 2 and took it, but i bought it late so only had it 28 hours after sex. On 6th august i started bleeding a little bit, and it continues until 7th august, not much but some, and with stomach cramps. I need to know whether i am having implantation spotting or is it too early for implantation? I can only have urine test after a week so im really worried now.

guys should i be worried?

yesterday i had sex with my gf twice. After the first shot, we rested for like 15 mins, then we continued for second shot.

For my second shot, i wore the new condom the wrong side for like 5 secs or so, then i realised its the wrong side so i switched it over to the other side. When I told my friends, they said you can get a girl pregnant by doing so. As my residual sperm could kena the condom, and I should pee first to avoid this.

im worried and being paranoid now, should I ask my gf to take the morning after pill?

Yes, the sooner you take the morning after pill the better, this way it would have a quicker way of it working. Personally, when I have taken it in the past, I did not experience any side effects, perhaps just a bit of nausea but minimal and a short while. It really just depends on everybody and the way your body reacts. Luckily when I've needed it, I've found it every time at the pharmacies.

Hello,

My girlfriend and I had sex with condom on, but when we are done I realized that some of the semen are not trapped at the tip, rather it was somewhere in the center of the condom. I immediately rushed to the toilet and filled the condom with water to check for leaks but there are none.

Just to be safe, she took Escapelle right after that (~1 hour). 6 days later which is the time I'm writing this, she has been bleeding for the past 2 days. Is this normal?

Also, this happened 1 week after her Day 1 period of this month. I know ovulation starts at around Day 14, right?

Took 1 tablet of escapelle once and never took it anymore and nvr have sex again. Is it safe enough? Today marks the 5th day after sex. I did not experience any of the side effects that people have been stated in the previous column either from the intake of the escapelle. But i did feel nauseous for few days. Should I take another escapelle? And today I just experienced bleeding (not too heavy but not too light). Is it considered as normal effects? What should I do?
