hi all,

i tried to search in this forum already but can seem to be able to find an answer.

i just subscribed to digi smart plan and would like to track my internet usage.

called digi helpline but they are not that helpful.
i am a little shocked on the response that i got from the lady on the phone.
it seems that only digi broadband can check usage from the internet.
but for digi postpaid number, this is impossible.
the only way to check my internet usage is to call them but even then, the lady was not able to tell me.
she gave incorrect information that my usage is 215kbps. I told her that that is not even the right measurement of internet usage as that is the speed measurement.

anyway, i gave up on calling them and wondering if any kind soul out there that might know.
or if you could point me to the right direction or link, it would be very much appreciated.

i just want to check my usage.

thanks.

i used the online chat with them... same problem they said they can't check how much my usage until my bill came only it is able to see... their explanation was "Since you are using unlimited plan, we can't able to do checking for it..." (like they are gonna tell me that i'm using unlimited plan 68, no point checking how much usage it is)...

I am using unlimited rm58, no way to check, I just use the DiGi Broadband software that comes with the modem to monitor my usage.

This is outrages. Whether what plan you are on, it should not have mattered. Even if it is unlimited , I would still want to track. Who know if Digi throttle to 128kbps sooner than me reaching 3gb.

Install some app to track lah. First day of your billing cycle, reset the data.

Yes app can track but how accurate can it be? What you see and what Digi see may not be the same? In that event that there is a dispute, always system data will trump app data. I would not want to go through that kind of hassle.

Did you create an account and login into the OCS? I suggest you do.

What dispute? Dispute on when the throttling should accurately start? You say 10pm and Digi say 10am? Is that really such a big deal? Apps should roughly be able to tell you when you are approaching your quota.

Not a big deal if some insignificant time. Big deal if difference is a lot.
And I just want to know if there is a way to tell without some app.

Hi Guys, no way to check internet data usage on the OCS except calling customer service ? That's weird...

Anyway, i got a big wonder here, it's very weird when u install some data statistic tool ( remember reset on the new bill date ) to measure the real data usage and u'll find out that DIGI data counter is easily 50% or more than what our own phone counter recorded !!

From my experience by comparing the data traffic using own statistic tool ( Netcounter ) vs Digi data usage ( told by Customer service ):

1. When netcounter recorded 10MB, Digi told 16MB been used
2. When netcounter recorded 100MB, Digi told 200MB+...
3. When netcounter recorded 150MB, Digi told 300MB+...

Damm, BIG BIG difference here....something is wrong !! rclxub.gif

Beware if u take Digi Smartplan Lite !!! Based on my own record and usage, Digi is outsmart you by by giving you 150MB only....hahahah....Smartplan 'lie' mah....

If you're Smartplan unlimited then should be ok lar....peace of mind.... icon_rolleyes.gif

Not sure what phone you are using but if you using BB, you can install Tellcost app to count the data. Free of course.
