I'm getting some quotes for tiling for my new kitchen extension and most tilers doesn't quote or do the base cement on top of the bricks. They only quote based on labour to stick the tile.

I was wondering if anyone here have this same problem? That the tiler will only stick the tiles rather than cement the brick wall and stick the tiles after?
