QUOTE(jojozep @ Mar 1 2011, 01:44 AM) but the cost of one piece of 2x2 tile could be xxx% (>12 ringgit at least for those cheapo?) more than one piece of 1x1 tile(could be just 2-3 ringgit each)... so we have to calculate the total cost if cost is a concerned and not just looking at labour+material cost to lay...

7pc for 2x2 includes labour too i suppose? Labour to lay a 2x2 may require 2 person at each time..that's why it is higher.. Have u tried to lift up a 2x2 tile..is quite heavy..heh.

**EDITED, WRONGLY POST** pls check properly with ur contractor...usually labour cost for laying tiles goes by psf...not by per tiles.. This post has been edited by numbertwo: Mar 1 2011, 04:10 PM

Install tiling(2x2) 150 x 7.00 = 1050 -----------------------------------------
OK, reasonable to me comparing with my quote...

I bought all my Feruni tiles (>10k) from their HQ.. It is true that the price is not as low as what you can find in let say houz Depot, but the difference is insignificant IMO. Tiles out from the HQ ensures good quality as I heard you may get 'reject' stocks if one were to source it from big distributors/reseller. In my case, non of the tiles were claimed as defect by my tiler..
