Wow that alot of info I learnt today!
Plan to hack 1st and then not sure
use parquet floor or tiles or don't
know what they called if using small
stone(tiny until look like sand) to lay
on top of the floor.
have to check all sifu's comment first

oh..the tiny stones are called pebbles-wash. normally you see this in resorts...very balinese..
I like that also...and I will do some in my garden corridor. They have different sizes one..I am also doing research on it at the moment.

If done well, they are as good to maintain as cement floor but looks much nicer. And if some part crack or pecah...it can be easily mix apply with cement again..

BUT i believe it depend on tiles size as well.

Let say, if the floor area = 1000sqf.

A. If use 1'x1' tiles then 1000tiles x RM3.50 = RM3500
In this case price is 3.5/sqf

B. If use 2'x2' tiles then 250tiles x RM7.00 = RM1750
In this case price is 1.75/sqf. means less tiles less work???? hmm.gif
