Anyone purchase from White Horse before?

Recently my contractor brought me there. Apparently he's one of their contractor I guess.
Need to tile up small yard area total about 102sq ft. Plus a simple support for stove.
We choose simple tile 2 x 1ft @ RM5.5/pc. For the stove area only need 2 pcs of bigger tile (2x2 I guess)
@ Rm30+/pc.

The quotation is Labor RM1900, Material RM1000. Seem a bit pricey to us.
Location JB.

Any comment please.

Wow, Labor RM1900 for 102sf?? RM10/sf without tiles is already quite ok. RM19 should have included good quality tiles ald plus water proofing.
1. Is it floor plus floor to ceiling?
2. Do you hack wall?
3. Lay new water piping?
4. Water proof?

Usually labor cost is ald included materials like cement, the adhesive mixture, sand etc... Material RM1000? U mean material = tiles?? If 102, only need 51 pcs 1x2. The most is plus 20% for wastage. Your concrete top will not be that big as well.

2x2 tiles RM30/pcs what brand? MLM, Niro, Feruni??

Seems very expensive to me. But depends on you lo.

1) Only wall to ceiling.
2) No wall hacking. Just 2.7ft x 1.7ft kitchen concrete top.
3) No. What is that actually?
4) No.

Material never stated clearly inclusive of adhesive mixture, sand...
The 2x2 tiles is from White Horse!!! Definitely not branded.

I'm not giving the project to him. Now still looking. So for this sq ft should I be looking at the range from Rm1400+-? Latest quotation I got is Rm2250 all in. Using 1x1 tiles. Just normal matte type. Nothing special.
My location is JB. Anyone can recommend a reliable contractor to me?

you're being taken for a ride.
you can look around for any tile warehouse having sale and buy from them.
they will hook you up with their contractors.

Thanks for the tips. So no luck in finding a good contractor though.

since you are in jb, you can try BMS at permas or the one near jpj, actually you can buy the tiles your self and just engage the contractor for their labor. they also can reckon you the contractors too.
