Hi guys, I am sourcing for a good contractor to do tiling for floor & walls for a 1,200 sqf condo, will be sourcing the tiles myself and just need the contractor do do the cement, adhesive, water proofing, hacking of existing floor wall tiles wall, labour. You guys have anyone good to recommend? Would you guys know roughly how much will it be to have these done at the current market rate? Thanks for the help as i am still a newbie in this, hope u sifus-sifus out there can light up my bulb a lil. Thanks! p/s: on another note, I am actually thinking about other alternative such as using a cement screed floor like the image below, anyone has any experience and contractor to share for such floor?Would very much appreciate it! QUOTE(weikee @ Dec 27 2012, 05:25 PM) During niro sales, the price are much lower. oh is it?i've waited for a few niro sales before i finally realize that they dont usually put gcm04 on the sales item, thus for the cheapest that i could get was during homedec.

QUOTE(weikee @ Dec 27 2012, 06:36 PM) I brought my Niro during warehouse sales. 2x2 around your offer price, maybe cheaper. That was around mid 2011 was it the same model?their warehouse sale for 2012 happened around 2 months ago at their PJ showroom, dropped by and saw no cementum available. I have no doubt about u getting cheap niro tiles, but it too has to depend on what kind that u are getting, cheers mate.

QUOTE(weikee @ Dec 27 2012, 07:01 PM) Unless below is not cemuntum. I was deciding between grocerra or Niro, but was siding to grocerra similar model. Lucky Niro had warehouse sales, and that price made it cheaper than grocerra. Added on December 27, 2012, 7:07 pmMaybe price have gone up. I will soon buy some to keep, by than I will know the price. if that is the case, all i can say is that u were extremely lucky to have bought it with that price,i wish i had a house 2 years ago to start my renovation and buy tiles with low prices, did quite alot of survey and this price was kinda the lowest that i could find.

That was around mid 2011 QUOTE(weikee @ Dec 27 2012, 11:11 PM) 2x2 are per piece, after offer is around 20+, 1x2 price are about 9 per piece, Added on December 27, 2012, 11:12 pmThat is during warehouse sales price I saw in 2011. Added on December 27, 2012, 11:27 pmAnother place to source is IPMuda, sometime they have promotion too. They carry Niro brand. Is one of the sale person told us the Niro warehouse sale promotion and advice us go there cc66. I actually got my 2x2 at rm20 per piece which is almost the cheapest, gave me a scare coz i saw your previous message saying that you've gotten the 2x2 with the price of my 1x2, phew, i guess i dont mind lowering the price of the 1x2 to RM9.00 per piece if there are any takers, while throwing in 2 boxes of the same tiles which is the size 2x2, i have no use at all keeping all these tiles here's how the tiles look like in my toilet

QUOTE(orientaliew @ Dec 30 2012, 11:23 AM) transportation could be a problem. it will fit well into 2 cars, as 11 boxes plus 2 boxes of 2x2 will be around the weight of 4 adults, i am driving a hatchback and transported 6 boxes before without any problems picking up the speed

the uncle that did my bathroom tiles was really good, but he was slower maybe because my condo only allows hacking from 10am to 2pm, but if u guys need a tiler, do let me know. He can do plumbing too

QUOTE(orientaliew @ Jan 4 2013, 05:20 PM) i prefer someone who does a slow but good job. of course not slow to the extent has to pay double lah! Definitely, he was a little slower if compared to my friend's tiler, but his work is good, and since i am not in a hurry, dont mind waiting at all
