flash? impossible unless a HTC even they dont have full flash, they at least got a flash lite support, but well, wildfire/wildfire S not worth the bang though..
so u shud try looking for Huawei IDEOS X5 @ 8xx [ori] or maybe CSL mi410 @ 999 ori

X5 got 3.8" WVGA screen, Desire Z processor able to support full flash, preloaded with 2.2

SGA is not worth mentioning as it doesnt support flash, lots of issues around currently & the spec isn't that good compare to X5 even both r in a same price range

some ppl buy "A" within 1 day str8 spoilt, while other ppl buy "A" can use for 5-6 years & just in slight scratchy condition..

some ppl use "B" never face any issue, some ppl use "B" can be very buggy, laggy & lots of issue haunting the phone

for real examples, u can compare the first batch N8, lots of people got mobo problem, but our lucky user like @aspire2oo6 never face any problem

but SGS need some little fix some of its issues/slowpoke gps(custom/tweak) before it is good to go...

can oso consider HTC IS AP, its good to use already out of the box, no need to fix anything..no what issue & a well all rounded phone

state out budget/requirements make us easier to recommend u a better phone that suits her

well, i would recommend Incredible S over Desire S if you going for Desire S...

both phone are good out of the box, no big problem/issue needed to tweak/custom to fix unlike the SGS...

both are pretty good all rounder phone..
HTC IS got HTC Sense UI which is most favorable by most ppl, good build quality, decent display/camera
cons is got locked bootloader but the new wave of them will be unlocked after HTC see how the bootloader affected their sales

the new XPERIA are like facebook phone, the UI is pretty much integrated with facebook..
nice slim design, best camera in android & low light display, among the best display (reality display)
totally unlocked bootloader

advanced OS than iOS, you can do customization, tweaking, rooting & alot more like tuning a car...
with certain hardware [at least VGA reso + at least A8 processor] & software [v2.2>], u can have full flash support which iOS never offer even flash lite..
lots of choice around, many brands & different range of phone choice...unlike iOS, just iPhone/iPad/iPods
wide open market, 2nd widest apps store after iOS though
mostly ppl get android are tech-savvy dun like boring OS of iOS, aim for entertainment, a quite all rounder OS...

iOS -
easy use OS, yet boring after using it some times...
widest apps market, quite well known for its games, its really many & some are really unique/better than android
mostly ppl get iphones are ppl who dun like complex OS like android, aim for gaming or trend-followers.

Nexus S with the hummingbird has better GPU
but not much different la, both have among the best single core proc

for gps, i think HTC sense can do better, because with HTC Sense, you don't need to wait for the map to load, because its oledi inside ur phone
& got compass @ the map, so u wont get confuse when u @ a T-Junction or cross junction etc.

wads ur budget? btw, i would recommend HTC IS over DHD if u choose HTCs
