QUOTE(alucard1412 @ Jun 2 2011, 11:50 AM) flash? impossible unless a HTC even they dont have full flash, they at least got a flash lite support, but well, wildfire/wildfire S not worth the bang though..so u shud try looking for Huawei IDEOS X5 @ 8xx [ori] or maybe CSL mi410 @ 999 ori X5 got 3.8" WVGA screen, Desire Z processor able to support full flash, preloaded with 2.2 http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_u8800_ideos_x5-3596.php csl mi410 is actually a rebrand of IDEOS X6... got 4.1" WVGA screen, 1ghz snappydragon processor like the famous DHD, Incredible S & Arc.. has videocall camera as well http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_u9000_ideos_x6-3595.php SGA is not worth mentioning as it doesnt support flash, lots of issues around currently & the spec isn't that good compare to X5 even both r in a same price range |

but SGS need some little fix some of its issues/slowpoke gps(custom/tweak) before it is good to go...
can oso consider HTC IS AP, its good to use already out of the box, no need to fix anything..no what issue & a well all rounded phone |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 5 2011, 05:01 PM) Dear sifus, I'm currently looking into buying HTC Desire S or Sony Ericsson Arc for my gf.. state out budget/requirements make us easier to recommend u a better phone that suits herI was wondering whether you guys could show me the pros and cons of these 2 models? Really not sure which one should I choose haha Or are there any other equivalent smartphones out there? Many thanks well, i would recommend Incredible S over Desire S if you going for Desire S... both phone are good out of the box, no big problem/issue needed to tweak/custom to fix unlike the SGS... both are pretty good all rounder phone.. HTC IS got HTC Sense UI which is most favorable by most ppl, good build quality, decent display/camera cons is got locked bootloader but the new wave of them will be unlocked after HTC see how the bootloader affected their sales the new XPERIA are like facebook phone, the UI is pretty much integrated with facebook.. nice slim design, best camera in android & low light display, among the best display (reality display) totally unlocked bootloader |

QUOTE(_Buyer @ Jun 11 2011, 03:23 PM) hye..i've been looking for such topic from other forums but.....here i am! Nexus S with the hummingbird has better GPU ok, my confusion is between Nexus S and Desire HD. Assuming both are running on Gingerbread, so which one will be better? in terms of gpu speed, proc performance, gps lock, camera, compass, ignoring the lcd type and sense ui.. + it would be best if someone can provide some more info for overclocked version of both ( nexus s- stable up to 1.8ghz, desire hd stable up to 2ghz ) using linpack and quadrant. which one will be better? + any recognizable problems on any of this device? Thanks in advance but not much different la, both have among the best single core proc for gps, i think HTC sense can do better, because with HTC Sense, you don't need to wait for the map to load, because its oledi inside ur phone & got compass @ the map, so u wont get confuse when u @ a T-Junction or cross junction etc. wads ur budget? btw, i would recommend HTC IS over DHD if u choose HTCs |

HTC Sensation/SGS2?HTC IS/SE XPERIA Arc? Added on June 12, 2011, 2:54 pm QUOTE(_Buyer @ Jun 11 2011, 04:35 PM) IS is not within my budget..my budget is up to 1.3k while the best price i can get for IS is 1.4k..I used HTC phones for quite a time, before move to Nexus S for one day, as I lost the phone before i can even turn it on for the first time.. -.-" ho then u nid to ask other sifu lohso the fact is that, i knew nothing about Nexus S. Right now, as both phones are overclockable, and both going to be ported to Honeycomb. So i'm considering both option before move on to buy either. for gps, i considering HTC Sense is a bad option, as for Gingerbread doesn't support HTC Sense, unless you manage to find some custom roms. So ignoring the loading time fact and focusing on lock time on both, which one locks faster? how many seconds? im not into GPS stuffs This post has been edited by adrianccseng: Jun 12 2011, 02:54 PM |

QUOTE(Quantum_thinking @ Jun 12 2011, 05:27 PM) I would suggest that you go for SGS 2 then. other than vivaz, i just heard tons of issues about any of either satio, c905 or ainoI actually heard people complain about Aino, but i am not sure that is why i did not comment on it and yeah, the budget is quite "amazing" actually. I think it might not be his question after all since it is possible that customer who have no knowledge in this stuff ask this question and he is just asking on their behalf. if i would able to get aino/satio, i would just get x10 |
