It is BEST practice to choose DHL delivery NOT Airmail even though is cheaper. SDo far I have yet encountered any issues with DHL which provides door to door service. Buying just one unit is actually not a big issue.
In the unfortunate event, if  it is held up by customs,  DHL will contact you. They are very knowledgeable and will tell you the procedure which is usually you personally need to get an import permit from Sirim ( Shah Alam )  and pay any import duties to customs if required. Based on some of my friend info, it is not difficult process only need time and spend money !!

thx reply uncle benny. i dont mind getting extra charge, the point is i'll live ipoh. if kena custom have to go Shah Alam ?? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

2.3k to 2.6k

talking about multitasking regarding this phone.
I really wish it had power to allow me to stream like 8 tabs of hd videos, all together while surfing other pages.

Any tech guru here can explain in layman's terms the difference between GL Benchmark Pro and GL Benchmark Egypt ?? Couldn't find an explanation of such at GL Benchmark website or any others I ahve tried to find

In Pro : the SGS II is just below LG Optimus 2X while in the Egypt benchmark - the SGS II is rank 6 th below the Optimus 2X

From anandtech.com :

QUOTE
The first benchmark, Egypt, tests OpenGL ES 2.0 and represents the newest and most demanding benchmark. The second -  GLBenchmark PRO - represents a suite that tests OpenGL ES 1.1 performance. (edit: GLBenchmark Pro also tests OpenGL ES 2.0 features, and is a port of an earlier GLBenchmark 1.1 test which focused on OpenGL ES 1.1 performance).

For now LG Optimus 3D is the king in benchmarking, all the test run on it pass with flying colour, it even beat the Optimus 2x. The more interesting part is that it use same GPU as SGS which is PowerVR SGX 540. The different between LG and SGS is that, LG clock it at 300mhz and use the update version driver which is 1.6 with dual-channel LPDDR2 memory controller vs 200mhz and 1.5 driver in SGS.

as we can see at the picture, it run 2 times better fps compare to SGS2 in GL Benchmark 2.0-egypt

I really dont think benchmarking is a good example of how good both phones are.

I think we need someone who owns an sgs2 and another from lg 3d thread to give their opinions.

Benchmarking and real life applications differ by a huge gap imo

Unfortunately I'm not a tech guru. Just something I know is :
Most Galaxy S series such as Galaxy S, Galaxy K, Galaxy U(all released in Korea), Fascinate, Epic 4G etc are limited in 720p playback, except for NTT Docomo Galaxy S which was released in Japan and is able to play 1080p HD. There was rumor that Docomo Galaxy S used S5PC110 hummingbird processor and the rest used S5PC111 hummingbird processor, and it decided ' Yes or No ' of 1080p.(It's not officially confirmed though. If you see this site, you can know that S5PC110 "provides encoding and decoding of MPEG-4/H.263/H.264 up to 1080p@30fps and decoding of MPEG2/VC1/Xvid video up to 1080p@30fps") Anyhow some tech bloggers raised a question over the difference between two processors and assumed that the difference determined whether 1080p play is possible or not , but couldn't find clear evidence. Personally I've also had this question, but the fact that Galaxy Hoppin released recently has S5PC110 processor but only provides 720p play makes me puzzled.

S5PC111 Hummingbird
Galaxy S : http://www.samsung.com/sec/consumer/mobile...il&tab=features
Galaxy U : http://www.samsung.com/sec/consumer/mobile...type=prd_detail
Galaxy K : http://www.samsung.com/sec/consumer/mobile...il&tab=features
(Galaxy K has no explanation of CPU, but i guess it also uses S5PC111 cpu)

S5PC110 Hummingbird
Galaxy Hoppin : http://www.samsung.com/sec/consumer/mobile...type=prd_detail

*For your information, Korea have three mobile carriers and each have their own Galaxy S series. Galaxy S and Galaxy Hoppin for SK Telecom(the biggest carrier), Galaxy K for KT Telecom(the second biggest) and Galaxy U for LG U+(the smallest).

I see, this is seriously mind boggling... why the limitations.....
Mayb I should email Samsung and tell them, hey I didnt contain myself from ur monstrous price.

Dont contain yourself Samsung. Give us the raw power.

And this eventually leads to a fail advertisement from samsung.
