Since this thread meant for Vios owners, I would like to raise question that members could face in their lovely Vios.

My air-cond could smell outside scent even all windows shut up properly when i on the air-cond. Do some testing myself which is off the air-cond & windows while i speed in highway. Just put your hand at the air-cond blower, you could still feel the air still coming in from those blower.

Is there anyone facing the same problem with me ? If yes, how do you rectify these problem. If the blower compartment not fully seal properly, dust & smell could come into our car easily.

Kindly advice how to rectify these problem.

Thanks in advance

Happy Viosing

well that might be balancing or alignment problem... smile.gif
hmmm i think your refresh air flap is not seal with foam properly... you need to ask aircond ppl to do it for you leh... and you need to dismantle the whole dashboard to have access to that flap near your windscreen...
*
Yup u r right.
I tried to dismantle air-cond compartment to see which area exposed to outside air, and found out the the air flap foam not really works properly. I used tape to fully cover the air intake hole from the wiper area. ( Dismantle wiper & the rubber surface, u can see air intake hole ). But currently faulty smell still entering inside car.

Any other suggestion ??

Thanks

P/S - My tyres going to worn out soon. Kindly advice what tyres suit me best. (of course best of bucks)

1) 195 55 15
2) 195 60 15
3) 185 55 15 (Current dimension)

1) i will take this size cause not too thin or thick
but the speedo meter will not be accurate when u running on this tire size

2) too thick but comfortable and speedo meter remain the same.

3) which spec of vios r u using? as i know, if vios stock tire is 185 60 15.

195 50 15, speedo remain the same with size.

this info, i get from a tire mech

Im using Vios made in 2007 ( Not the new model for 2007)

Kindly explain further why speedometer wont be that accurate if using No 1 tyre selection. Isnt it based on moving object for capturing the the speed.

Thanks for valueble advice

well not sure u need to patch things from inside or not too...

for the tires... try 195/55 R15.... if not 195/50 R15 is the best choice but 195/55 R15 is more comfort...
195/60 is over size... what do you expect from your tires??? Comfort, Handling and Noise...

Michelin PS3 (RM250~280) is low noise, good handling. good wet & dry traction but the comfort is acceptable...
Bridgestone RE001 (RM250~280) is low noise, good handling, good wet & dry traction but comfort is so so...
Hankook V12 Evo (RM200~220) is good comfort, good handling, good wet & dry traction but noise is slightly noisy...

there is some others tires too, let us know what you expect on Handling, Comfort or Noise so that we can give you more accurate recommendation...

Yeah my thinking also more to 195 55 15.
BTW is there any good recommendation which around 180.00 - 200.00 budget a piece.
Aeon Centre - Continentel offering 4 pieces @ 880.00.
Kindly recommend location of trusted & cheap tyre shop.

One more issue, let say the alignment are out, do i need to listen to those installer to install the nut type in order for them to adjust my vios alignmnet ??

Thanks in advance

Anyone facing power window problem ?
Where hard to wind up at certain time.
According the The Star paper today, mentioned that Toyota recalling car manufactured in year 2006 onwards for the defects.

Did anyone been rectify these issue at service centre ?
What happen if those car owners stop their routine at service centre ? Are these group still entitled to claim from service centre even stop servicing at service centre ??

Constructive comments are appreciated.

Thank you
