Nice info & bit challenging to read since I use google translator to convert.
After 5 years maybe plan to try 3M instead for a difference.

I saw the vkool shop have a sample 3m film but it was burned on the sample paper using the UV light. Rival sure will do those things for comparison.

im back from long distance travelling, on a very bad road condition

vios rattling noise and vibrate is really bad!

mine is vios e spec 2010.

the funny thing is, on normal road, such thing did not happen.

what can i say to SC when i send my car to be checked?
*
The rattling noise is coming from your suspension or inside the body?
vibration sure will happen if u drive on bad road though.. sweat.gif

Just bought a Vios will be getting it soon this coming mid-May!

I was wondering since I bought the E version without the full spec speakers.. if I were to uprade it from 4 speakers 6 speakers.

Is this possible to do so? If so what are the pros and cons and the pricing. I'm someone who appreciates music when driving.. any help will be great!
*
You can upgrade the stock player with a dvd touchscreen easily or change the OEM speakers with better ones.

As for the 2 extra speakers. You can buy the tweeter that is placed next to the side mirror just like the G and TRD model.
Estimated price not more than RM150 for the 2 tweeters.

Do tweeters increase the sound quality by much at all?
I listen to alot of latest songs plus club songs... though I dont necessary need the bass to be blasting until outsiders can hear from the car like those 'clams'
*
It depends on your taste of music and the speakers in your car.
I just love the high note sound that is produced by tweeters.
If you are not satisfied with the sound setup and quality, then consider upgrade the player and speakers.

Even my Pioneer CD Player+Pioneer speaker can beat the OEM sound system of the Toyota. tongue.gif

I read some ppl suggest IK20 is more suitable for vios model but the website stated as IK16.
So, which one is the best?

If I want to install the trd sport pedal for my toyota that i bought outside, will the SC ppl do FOC or they will charge separately.

Just send my car for my 1st service this morning.
I choose to use the semi syn oil instead of mineral.

My mileage for RM50 Petronas 95 Xtra perhaps can go up to 300KM. Start to blink after running up to 285KM. Light footed.

Some vios owner from other forum said that you will have about 30KM worth of fuel when the gauge start to blink.

100% town driving

Hopefully after 1st service, can go for more than 300KM on RM50 Petronas 95 Extra.

*
Congrats on ur new ride. rclxms.gif
The hike in BLR don't affect hire purchase interest.
If the hire purchase interest is below 2.8%, then it's still within acceptable level coz the bank will compensate with free service. etc.....

Below is the latest pic and info for the face lift. Bigger pics at http://mudahdtoyota.blogspot.com

It's just body kit for the G Limited minus the keyless entry, start stop button, aux port which the Thailand have.
The TRD is even better with leather seat now and nicer grille.

It's true that M'sia model is being given the lousiest accessories/parts compared to Thailand.
We have not reach the Japanese standard to produce Toyota parts/accessories yet. sad.gif Maybe control by the govt?? rolleyes.gif

I thought the purple color is exclusive for G Limited only.
Looks like it shouldn't be called Limited coz u can buy purple color for J, E, G and TRD too. doh.gif

anyone notice current vios model, rear light, have a thin line near the corner, both also like that

I saw few of my friend vios, also like that sad.gif

is that Toyota supplier did not have QC?
*
The thin line is imprinted inside the casing rite? All facelift model have the same design.
If the line is outside, sure that is a scratch or QC issue.

Please take photo as proof else ppl will confuse. sweat.gif

i take out my car acond filter and it doesn't have damp smell. I wonder where does the damp smell came from? Check my carpet not wet and no damp smell. hmm
*
How old is ur car vexus?

In my car, the damp smell sometimes comes from the aircon. Maybe it's due to the humid and hot weather that causes it to develop inside the car. My car also park in non shaded area at work.
To counter it, I buy a glade gel air fresh freshener. It works like a charm. thumbup.gif

Anyone finds effective solution in substantially reducing the road and tyre noise of our vios? My vios E's noisy cabin is driving me crazy.
*
Go for Continental CC5. My sis Myvi tyre noise is quieter than my bridgestone re080. doh.gif

QUOTE(500Kmission @ Mar 8 2012, 11:46 PM)
I just bought vios spec J. After I have driven 2 weeks, I found following problem;-

1. When my car's speed till 70 or 80km/h, the outside sound > radio sound (volume 10).
2. Gear change a bit odd. e.g. when I push the engine speed till 3x1000r/min, it keep 3 about 15-20 seconds (I think normally it will only keep it about 5-8 seconds, then it will change to next gear).
3. accelerator and break too sensative.
4. When I start engine, the engine speed jump up to 2 or 3 x1000r/min.

All the vios expert or car sifu, do you think the above is normal to a new vios car?

thank you
*
J spec lacks the sound proofing of higher spec compared to E and G.
For No.1, ur engine hood lacks the soundproofing material to absorb the engine noise. Your car bonnet also lacks the black cushion material.
J speaker also is cheapo compared to E and G. You might want to upgrade to a better speaker and head unit.

For No. 3 I never have any complain as I adjusted my seat properly with proper length from the acc/brake. If your leg is positioned too near to accelerator/brake, i believe you might be putting the acc and brake too fast.

For No. 4, it's normal as the engine needs to rev higher to deliver the engine oil to engine parts and ensure protection.
Never race ur engine while cold sign is ON.

i have fixed this problem. the technician said it was caused by the front hood. they inserted a rubber and after that my dashboard became "silent" again =))
*
Can you take a photo where the rubber was inserted?

My dashboard have the same vibration noise once in a while.
It sometimes become apparent if driving through the small yellow bump.
I noticed the sounds came from the center panel near to the speedometer. If I push my hand on the center board in front of the console, the sound will disappear. sweat.gif
