MIUI 1.2.18 is out, flashing it at the moment. Will experiment with the LeeDroid 2.0.5 kernel as well.

Mugen Power Batteries has released a battery for the DHD, but its only 70mAH more than the stock one.. (1230mAH stock - 1300mAH Mugen)

Maybe its because mine was connected to a network, and possibly syncing when I didn't notice.
Or it might be MIUI's fault. |
