Guys, seriously, enough about cesc man. He has gone so just accept that. He made a choice when he was younger, and nobody knows if he's regretting it now, tho i highly doubt so.
Give due credit and respect to arsenal as well, tho they had just done almost the same when jon miguel toral harper just went away. I guess this is football, it is never fair. ![]() Real Madrid loving newspaper AS have been forced to apologise "for the error in the computer graphics" that made it appear that Barcelona's Dani Alves was offside for his goal. ©AS |

QUOTE(neohardcore @ Mar 2 2011, 09:05 PM) Can you access myp2p.eu ??btw, we grind a win out today. Mascherano was, as always, almost useless, esp offensively. Adriano keeps throwing chances away, but he atoned with a nice assist. los che deserved a point for their effort tho. All in all, good win and 10 points lead. thats a reason to smile. If you guys watched the match, is there something on btw villa and messi? They sorta like had some sorta spat. Even when villa was right next to messi, opened, messi saw him but still opted to go alone. well..I surely hope not. King pep wouldn't allow that i guess. |

Yes, defensively he did make a few interceptions, but saying that, even busi had a btter day defending than he did, and busi even had time to contribute to the offense bro.
In barca u dun play DM to only defend, u also have to circulate the ball, and make bursting runs, box to box (eg keita, busi). Masch just did not do that, he did not look for the best option to pass to. Masch was only seen in our box, not valencia's. So i think he slowed down our attack A LOT. Still defensively, he played alright, but IMHO keita could have been a better choice. Then again, maybe pep wants to rest him and get masch into the thick of the action. I dun hate masch, see my earlier post (maybe in old thread), i said masch is taking baby steps to accomodate himself in the system, find his true identity in this squad. Until then, he is going to play like that. Even pique goes forward more than him, but thats not surprising at all i guess. As for adriano, did you watch the first half? He made some great runs i give u that, but where was the final ball? We dun need a theo walcott in barca.. He just did not link up with villa, and there was once where he was one on one with guaita, he shot wide and out. So bro, i did watch the match. Please take some healthy criticism bro, we're all blaugrana. Not some epl fanboi. dun belasah me. |

But i saw an upside, mascherano took a big step today, winning balls back and even putting a shot on goal which was parried away by doblas. tho i hope he's not the best makeshift defence pep can come up with for the gunners game.

srsly bro, no milito. He's way too far from match fitness with 50% pace and 70% physique. Even bendtner can own him.
i'll say dani-busi/masch-abidal-adrano/maxwell will be alright. Let keita play DM. i think that should be good. Added on March 7, 2011, 2:54 am QUOTE(barca96 @ Mar 6 2011, 03:47 PM) I came in here asap to check whether you have anything to say about Masch.Haha. Haha.. eating my words now. Anyway, please dun think of me when u watching football la, the idea of somebody thinking about me while we're watching the match kinda freaks me out. I was grinning throughout the whole match. And your name came to mind when he unleashed a shot. hahahaha He did nothing wrong. Absolutely amazing. Nobody ever passed him ever! Haha. And his passing is getting better too. He's a quick learner. He was already an average passer but now he's more aware of his surroundings. One thing I don't like is that sometimes he tries to be a Xavi when Xavi is right next to him. I know it's good that he can do it too but I jsut prefer the master do it. Haha chill bro This post has been edited by myhotgary2: Mar 7 2011, 02:55 AM |

QUOTE(devis87 @ Mar 9 2011, 01:24 PM) QUOTE(barca96 @ Mar 9 2011, 03:06 PM) QUOTE(matyrze @ Mar 9 2011, 04:36 PM) Don't target anybody la bro. myhotgary just stated his opinion when he said Masch played bad. He was not saying Masch was a bad player for Barca. IMHO Masch did look clueless in numerous matches before. Yes he could get his trademark tackles in, but in Barca people people expect other other quality from DM too. Its good that Masch finally seems to be getting better game by game. It should not be a reason to target the critics back. QUOTE(barca96 @ Mar 9 2011, 04:41 PM) Dang barca96 must be thinking about me again during the match. But seriously that was a very thrilling match with its ups and downs (eg own goal) but at the end of the day, we scraped thru with oni 1 goal agg.And bro matyrze made my point, but yeah i know you're joking. And i can only be happy as masch integrates into the team. He had a good match last night, full stop. One thing that tells, besides the quality of the individual, is the ability of pep to train players to play football the barca way. I read somewhere back where people said pep man management is lacking, but i say no. What happens at barca is always team spirit and humility. If u dun have that (ibra/etoo) or if u dun put in enough effort (chygry), then there will hardly be a place in the team for u. No player is bigger than the team. |

QUOTE(barca96 @ Mar 11 2011, 01:14 AM) When a Football Manager player applied for the Middlesbrough job Start AND end.Back in 2006, when Steve McClaren left Middlesbrough to begin his ill-fated stint as England manager, a 25-year-old armed with vast experience in the highly addictive and cripplingly detailed Football Manager video game and a brief spell in charge of a real-life Under-11 team decided to apply for the vacant position. John Boileau was working through a list of things he wanted to do before he turned 30 (which would even earn him a write-up on the BBC) when he sent a brilliant letter to Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson declaring his interest and qualifications for the job at the then Premier League side. And he got an equally brilliant response form Gibson himself. The supremely excellent Letters of Note reminded us of this bit of delightfulness by republishing their correspondence, which you can see right this way... At the time, Boileau concluded that Middlesbrough and Steve Gibson "are ace" and I have to agree. From Boileau stating his "very reasonable" desired starting wage of £80,000 to Gibson concluding his letter by saying, "We consider it a sign of our progress that someone of your status could consider us," this whole exchange is evidence of the wonderful things that can happen when people have a sense of humor. Related: Nonsense How about that? ps. do we put the quote in bracket at the start and end or ?? This post has been edited by myhotgary2: Mar 11 2011, 02:01 AM |

Btw, time for some good news after a relatively bad week or 2. Alves to stay until 2015. |

and btw, when will abidal be back? I know it is a lil too much to ask right after his surgery but... We are really short of CBs.. Abi can play there.. and gaby is simply a shadow of his old self..

Well, i think we had our fair share of chances and it might have went either way, but i shall not take credit away from madrid because they played well too, being organized at the back and casillas was big for them too.
They always 3 men trying to close down and challenge the player with the ball at every chance so to break our passing rhythm just like inter did to us last year and i have to say, it works. Look at our 1st half performance. In the 2nd half they let off the pressuring a little bit and also we tried to move the ball around more quickly then we started creating chances, which drew save after save from iker, and also the inches offside pedro goal. And everytime they snatch the ball they try to launch a quick counterattack. Had they took their chances we might not even be playing extra time. I really think there are 2 players who needs to man up and live up to their names, namely dani and villa. For the past 2 games, villa has not taken his chances well enough to threaten casillas, although he did win us a penalty in the last game. On the other hand, dani, well, defensively he made a few important tackles for us today but on the offensive side i think marcelo and di maria sort of had the upper hand. I think maybe we can employ pedro to divert some attention off dani, then maybe spaces will open up on the right flank. Then again, this is just my opinion. We still have a good chance in the UCL semis, where it really matters. Hopefully we score first and i would like to see the reverse in roles where they attack and we counter. Last but not least, i hope puyol can be back for us for the remainder two matches. Our makeshift defence was not too bad but against madrid i would very much prefer the presence and stability of our capitan. Anyway, its alright guys. Lets hope we have the final laugh. Visca el barca. |

QUOTE(tzxsean @ Apr 22 2011, 12:46 AM) ugly as in stomping and diving and player surroundings referee How about Pepe's step on messi's ankle?don't happen tat much in previous encounter .... and i dont against playing ugly to win ..as in defensive and body charged but not stomping and diving + acting well yea... they acted and dived to get others got cautioned.. this is sick ..the amount in this el-classico is higher than usual... maybe the fact tat this is cup final justify thats and rivalry between 2 teams lol...got any other incident than stomping villa? But yeah, cant really blame them, imagine you were one of them, stakes are high, pressure sky rocketing...There's bound to be challenges (and dives) from both sides. |

Yeah, even bojan sat with them. bojan-puyol-pique-shakira LOL
Anyway, i think afellay is still not performing. He seen quite a lot of the ball today but he dared not put in penetrative passes and sometimes right after his bursting runs down the flank he throws in some blind crosses. Good if we were stoke city, but we're barca.. You cant just throw in blind crosses to a bunch of 170+cms players.........Once he even made a cross when nobody was inside I think he needs to be more confident at his game as we know wat he is capable of...I hope he improves his game..Pep, use your magic!!!! |
