Actually there is one more question which i wish to ask too.
The redness of the skin, does it refer to the broken blood vessels under our skin?
(not sure if it is correct to ask here, just see if u have any idea on this)

*
Hi Wenying,
The redness is not as what u mentioned,is not about the blood veins.
The redness comes from sensitivity and inflamation on skin. Some of them may happened to be so easily during activities, under sun expose or not using the right products.

Hi Rayanne,

I don't intend to try any other products than Dermalogica. So, what do you recommend from Dermalogica?

Cheers,
  Angela

Since currently u are under acne prone skin, just try the list i mentioned. If not getting control, maybe u need to think of Antibac skin wash. I can recommend:

antibac cooling masque,75ml

Dear all,

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I found this thread(forum) while searching for dermalogica's product's information. Thanks to Rayanne for providing so many informative details about dermalogica's product.
I'm using Cellnique's skincare now, using their clenser, toner, moisturizer, masque, sebum gel... i am using other brands of masques as well; St Ives, Kose black masque, neutrogena...
I don't know how to define my skin type, sometimes it feels oily but sometimes normal.. i always had problem on my forehead (T-zone), tiny bumps (white head / black head) always grow there and it leaves some marks as well...
I had used dermalogica's product b4, that time the beautician told me that my skin was dehydrated, they recommened ultracalming clenser and their range of 3 steps to me... after using it, my skin feels better... later, after i have used it for around more than 1 year.. i changed to another brand.
2 weeks ago, i went to do facial, this beautician told me about PRECLEANSE. She said this is a new product... she test it on my face during my facial session, i like it very much... later, i bought it... and using it every night. I feel that my skin has a bit of improvement lately.. cleaner and smoother... Btw, I'm using Dermalogica's Microfoliant as well... I thought that it can be used daily.. but i get to know from this thread that we should only use it twice a week, is that correct?
Another question about Dermalogica's Hydrating Masque, is there any smell for this product? I can't remember when did I bought it, but I didn't used it for some time already... and there's some smell too when i applied it on my face...
That's all about me and what i wanna ask for this time. Such a long post...sorry about that... sweat.gif hehe...
I'll come back to check out for more information, and i'm interested on the 20% discount too... Thank you..

Hi uniQcorn,
Thank you for your compliment. smile.gif Welcome to LYN too!
Precleanse 150ml is really good,i heard a number of user tested it and loving it!
Skin Hydrating Masque is ok,not much smell and its good to use esp after daily microfoliant. You're right,it can be applys daily(so-called daily microfoliant) but come from beautician's advise, its better we use it twice a week, follow by hydrating masque/booster.

For black/whiteheads,cellnique sebum action gel is recommended.Any effects on ur skin with it? From what u explained here,i personally think you're good to take ultracalming cleanser, else, you may try special cleansing gel because u are more to oily skin type esp T-zone area.

FYI,there is 10-15% discount for dermalogica products on this thread. The previous offer only back to year 2005 since thread started.Long story of W.H.Y.if you're interest with current offer, kindly pm me. Thread for product/skin consultation purpose smile.gif

Hi Rayanne,

Any method to know if my skin is still dehydrated? or the level of sensitivity? I have been doing hydrating mask everyday for more than one week. The skin is not peeling now but i wonder if the surface is still dehydrated.

I have recently purchased the 150ml Precleanse from Rayanne and thought to share my review of the product here.

Texture
Precleanse is an oil-based clear liquid which acts as the first cleanser (hence, the name Precleanse) in the double-cleansing ritual which most Dermalogica users will be familiar with. I didn't find it too greasy/oily and it is easy to apply and spread across the face.

Smell
It smells great! In fact, it is the smell that first got me attracted into trying. It smells of lavender and citrus fruits, very relaxing and refreshing. I find that after a full day of hard work, the smell is very uplifting!

Using it
Well, the lady at Leonard Drake did a little demonstration for me. All you need is a 20-cent sized amount on your palm. Apply the oil in circular motion across your face, even over your eye area. (In fact, Precleanse can be used as an effective eye/lipstick remover as well.) Remember to apply the oil while your face is dry. I was told that the circular motion will allow the oil to bind with impurities (like your sunscreen, foundation, dirt etc). You do not need to rub hard, just gentle circular motion will do. Then, wet your fingers or palm (it is supposed to turn the oil into a milky substance as the water emulsified the oil) and continue cleaning your face in a circular motion. Then, rinse with water (lukewarm water is recommended but I use normal cold tap water which I feel is just as good).

Follow-up with the second cleanser - use whatever cleanser that is recommended for your skin type. Currently, I use the Essential Cleansing Solution and Special Cleansing Gel as double cleansers. With Precleanse, I have tested it with Essential Cleansing Solution and my face feels wonderful!! It's the same thing when I tested it with Special Cleansing Gel. My face feels very clean but not dry at all!

Packaging
The product comes in a very simple packaging. I would have loved it more if it comes with an in-built pump. Well, it doesn't. The bottle has a little hole on top and you need to squeeze the bottle a little for the oil to come out. Sometimes it's quite messy because the oil will spill over the side and down the bottle. Maybe the future second generation Precleanse bottles will come with in-built pumps!

Would I recommend it?
It is too early to tell as I've used it less than 1 week. So far, I've got nothing to complain about. For those of you out there who love to try new things, I would recommend it. For those of you who are not sure if it's suitable for your skin type, maybe you should get free samples to try before buying (retail price: RM139). However, I read that Precleanse is supposed to be suitable for all skin types, even oily ones.

So, good luck and enjoy! thumbup.gif

Very impressive comment on precleanse haha!
Yes it suitable to all skin type. for more info, login to www.dermalogica.com for review.

Yeah it smells good and most dermalogica cleansers act as make up remover!
For the packaging, not sure the coming generation will have pump to fir as i guess oil-base liquid may not suitable for pumping technology..easy to sesak?!
No idea haha..

Hi bubucaca,(nice nick lol)

Yes dermalogica(Leonard drake/Belle Lina) do offers facial treatments and more! For price range pls logon to www.leonarddrake.com.my for more info, or call up to the branches for latest offer! Starts from RM138.

For normal/oily skin(unisex), most importantly is you gotta choose the right cleanser - daily cleanser. Take Special cleansing gel to take control about it! Secondly, beware of moisturiser that over-moist, u can try Active moist, specially for this skin type, non oil base moisture.

For black/whiteheads, would u like to try cellnique skin action sebum gel retail at RM139. Well compliment about it. Else for dermalogica, there is no specific prd for this, but u can do hydrating masque for easy extraction.

Hi sillysu,

For acne prone skin type, cleanser u can take Anti-bac skin wash to combat dirts which caused acne pimples; anti-bac cooling masque to overcome and control skin inflamed, reduce acne grow!

For normal/dry skin type, cleanser recommended at Ultracalming cleanser(milk type)/Essential cleansing solution. Both able to remove make up and dirts effectively, leaving skin smoothier; Take SKin smoothing cream for moisturiser and Skin hydrating masque/booster is good regimen to booster up ur skin, restore hydration noticeably! Aircon room 24hrs? Take Hydrating Body Cream.

to me, the best acne/skin problem solution is still going for facial. i know this woman who is a single parent, who was highly qualified from London, who opened several branches in various hotels such as hyatt saujana and glenmarie.

but since her husband left her she closed them down..and now she's doing facial using aroma therapy essential oil products at home to earn a living.

ONLY RM 85 FOR TWO PEOPLE
. it's very, very effective..and worked for a lot of people too..plus she's very friendly. for more details you guys can PM me, i can give you her details.. cuz i really pity her =/
