Hello guyz,

I purchase my laptop 5750g as an upgrade for my older 5745g laptop so i can play starcraft 2 at better graphic settings but unfortunately I keep on getting random BSOD while playing starcraft 2 which I never had with my older 5745g.

I already sent this 5750g unit to your service center and they said that this is a problem with game compatibility and not hardware. the technician may be right since I was able to complete crysis 2 and black ops with less BSOD as compared to starcraft which I always experience every time i play. The technician in service center upgraded the bios while before sending to them I performed a system recovery. I also recently updated the latest driver from nvidia website.

this unit is 2nd batch, blue one, bios version 1.1.

I am now playing sc2 using the intel gpu the the lowest graphics settings and never had BSOD.

I have a 5750G too, and I am running SC2 on medium settings without any BSOD. It can also run on ultra and extreme settings, but I'm afraid to run for a long period of time because the CPU temp reaches 95+ deg C.

BTW guys, which cooling pad would you recommend for the 5750G?

I have already set the max fps to 40 by inserting the following lines in variables.txt.
frameratecap=40
frameratecapGlue=30

However, I still see the temp reach 95 deg C at medium settings! I'm planning to go to Low Yat Plaza tomorrow to buy the Zalman NC2000 cooling pad.
Any other recommendations, guys?

If you ignore the cost, which one can cool the 5750G better --- Zalman NC2000 or Cooler Master U3?

I had already decided to buy the Zalman NC2000 --- but I couldn't find it in Low Yat. All the shops said they were out of stock. They only had the Zalman NC 1000 and 1500. So I bought the Cooler Master U3.

Results:
Using my previous cheap cooling pad: Max Temp = 98 deg C
Using the Cooler Master U3: Max Temp = 85 deg C
