Hmm, question for Forte FL owners...

When connecting your iPhone/iPod, can you just use your regular charging cable and plug it into the USB port, or do you need to use a Y-cable and plug into both the USB and Aux ports?

Just want to share some info regarding PPS with you guys who are interested to have it done. I did mine yesterday. If you fill up the e-form on bro saimatkong's blog on the same topic, you will get a 15% discount from rm880. A few days later Raymond Tan (owner) will contact you for an appointment. I also did the interior which costs rm160 (no discount for this). I just received my car 5 weeks ago (did my 1,000k service 2 days ago) and after doing PPS it feels like getting a new car all over again!!

Checking with you guys, anyone of you have this issue?

When driving above 80kmph, you will hear some noise (minor kriit kirriiitt sound) coming from somewhere, sometimes it's loud enough until I can hear it even with my radio on.. At first I thought it's because of my aircond, so I turned it off, still can hear the sound. Then I checked interior, nothing seems to be causing the sound as well (nth in my drawer, steering lock is placed properly.. etc etc) It's a 100% that I can hear the sound whenever I drive above 80kmph..

Went for my 1k servicing today, the NazaKia Service center claimed that the noise is coming from the tyres and it's a common issue for Forte. The service fella said he can hear the sound as well and it's normal.. Any new 6 Speed owners having the same issue? They told me to give NazaKia careline a call and engage the tyre manufacturer and see what they can do.

One thing I don't understand is, if it's with my tyre, wouldn't it happen whenever I drive? Why is the noise there when I'm driving above 80kpmh? They (service center ppl) say it's because of how the design of the tyres works.. Weird answer..

It's pretty darn annoying to have that noise around as I'm always driving above 80kmph..

so u mean u reach 1k after 4 days? ya i just afraid my car will get old very fast coz travel alot.. haha

Guys...thinking of changing my engine oil to Mobil1 EP 0w-40/30...SC agree, without void warranty....is it OK wif that engine oil?? oh ya, gonna get my SP and K&N AF soon....all fix together during next service(20k)...

As for the 180km/h issue, removing speed limiter ald enough, u can go beyond 180km/h, but engine span will kurang lor, coz u go beyond engine limit....

My FC for this...heavy foot+light foot 100% city drive will soon release....will be 4xxkms for sure...RM95 50L BHP2X95

I would like to know those who got > 400kms in 100% city drive for one full tank, how long distance has your car clocked? >5kkms? >10kkms? Thank you.

I gotten 422km 100% city and my milage is 15k km+..I usually pump BHP2X 95..now using still using BHP2X 95 which is a total recommendation..I guess FC is better using BHP or caltex..
