Or at least a Tamron 17-50? lol

Yeah, this can be considered an upgrade. But then you get crappy focusing under low light LOL.

Didn't shoot since CNY, I'm back biggrin.gif. Bad weather >(

actually, how to use the K in WB setting...do i need to know the actual temperature of the color to be shoot...
*
Adjust to your liking, there's no specific K to use. You need to fine tune it.

Short cut to set WB, use Liveview then adjust the K to your liking smile.gif

But I shoot raw anyways, will fine tune eventually during PP.

the color on the live view will auto adjust based on the wb set? d90 live view can?
*
Yes, D90 can do that. I did before, but usually I shoot auto WB haha then fine tune during PP.

i have the budget & found a few good used copies of the 17-55 but the only thing i am worried is Nikon coming out with a replacement model for it ...
*
Well not surprising if Nikon announces a new model this year or so, after all that lens is already in the market quite quite long. But then again, you have to ask yourself if the new version comes out are you willing to fork out the money for it? Its going to pricier, probably with Nano and VR. If Canon can build their 1755 with IS, I don't see why Nikon can't.

5k I rather get 24-70.
17-55, still a DX after all
*
Ditto, that is why I bought 1635 f/4 back then instead of going to 1755 for use on my D90. I know I can use 1635 on FX once I upgrade ;-).

Bad part is, majority of your lens don't work on D700.

bro CY. wondering if you do another type of photography such as landscape or something.
*
Ages ago yes, but nowadays nope. Can't seem to find nice spots to shoot or rather lazy to go all the way for it.

Yes, she is wearing color contacts.

very obvious lo...colour contact lens is very very common things for girls.  sweat.gif ..
but her eye and face ratio makes her eyes looks bigger... laugh.gif

Well, color contacts are popular among girls smile.gif. I prefer to shoot them with color contacts, makes the eye more attractive biggrin.gif.

Sending my 24/1.4G back to shop
Just found out the lens will only tack sharp whenever I put the focus in center. If I use other focus point, all OOF !

What body are you using? I experienced this with D90 back then. Using D700 much better.

D90. What lens u experience that?
*
85mm f/1.4G

I was complaining about it the other time mah, that time I was still using D90 and prior to 85G, I don't use fast lens often thought it was technique issue. But then again even on the D700 its the 15 cross sensors that is spot on accurate. The edges will focus inaccurately at times, but success rate much better than D90's edge.
