DIR-615 router must really suck. I can't surf if I download more than 2 torrents at a time. Even the QoS does not help! Any other settings that I should be looking at?

HI

finally i received my 1st Unifi billing.

Want to ask, as my unifi were installed & activated on Feb 9, 2011 which mean im entitled for the waiver of RM200 promotion below:

(21 January 2011) http://twitter.com/TMCorp/status/28417285165158400
UniFi installation promo 15 Jan-15 Feb.RM200 installation fee waived 4all new successful subscriber registrations

Have anyone managed to claim on the promotion above?

I received my bill and I didn't notice any installation charges, hence it's waived.

sigh... damn bad luck man

yesterday tech guy came, checked the signal at the phone pole, good. then proceed with cabling and drilling. check the signal at the end of the fibre, still good.

proceed with modem, etc installation... ended up the modem cant get connected to the internet. they troubleshoot for 2 hours and then called TM to find out why. TM called back and told them that the fibre box at the phone pole is not really connected to the internet. Something like streamyz open port.

TM can even ping the box but it's not connected. They'll come over to check but they didnt even give me any reference number.

apparently, i'm the first person to use that box in my area

Happened to me too. Signal at the pole was about 18 ( not sure what measurement ), signal in the house was about 19. They said it's considered pretty good. Anything above 27 the BTU will not be able to connect. After connecting everything, the link light still blinks. Apparently, TM has not established the connection on their side. They promised that it would be up on that day itself, and I should only sign off once it's up. Took TM another 2 hours before the link is up.

It is good reading.
Mine only get 18-19.

At first, it showed 50-60,  shocking.gif
After clean the fibre with alcohol, and make a new connector (Fibre end), reading was 18-19.

I wonder if it's possible to access the BTU and get the reading, like how we could do it with ADSL modems.
