You got the point there, then I'll probably go for Neo V then, anything need to do when first got the phone? 1st time using Android phone... I'm currently using the obsolete version of Xperia Neo (Vivaz)

just understand how it works first then later ask urself whether to root it or not.

I dunno much bout neo and neo v but what i know neo camera is 8mpx while neo v is 5mpx.
Other thing looks the same..and neo v got like corak2 at the back
