it'll be easier for ppl to help if you provide your location
for example, no point recommending penang if you are in JB, right?

anyone can advice where can view a BLACK insight in KL?
So far, saw all the colors, blue, white and silver.

Am considering for my wife and she seems interested in Black. Thus would like to look at "real" black insight before deciding.

Test drove today:

Cons:
1. old fashion door handle
2. low roof line particularly at the back seat
3. no paddle shift

Pro:
1. zippy, for those who feel it kinda laggy, switch off econ mode, you will feel the difference.
2. about 8K more than a city. personally an 8K premium for this more technological advance and better specs car, worth it. Further more, its made in Japan, CBU
3. its a Hybrid smile.gif
*
You can ask the SA if it is possible for you to view it at the store yard

I've checked with my SA, from PG Crystal Point branch. The warranty will not be void if u choose Fully Sync and do more than 5k service interval as long as not more than 8k. It's up to the cust as he mentioned, but highly advisable for 5k interval to ensure the car at best condition. not sure on other states/branch though...
*
i see
cos the filter is designed for 10k/6 months
and i was advised to save money and come back later when i brought my city in for 5k service with about 2k logged since the last service
and that was also under warranty period

I believe they haven't update the maintenance schedule yet... The revised maintenance is same with City now...
*
if that is the case, then the maintenance cost is more acceptable

sudah bro. I test drive Ford Focus 2.0 tdci Turbo Diesel and 15 minutes later, I test drive Honda Insight.

Comparing 320nm torque of Ford with 200nm Insight, I think Ford win.  icon_question.gif
*
Looking at the brochure, the peak torque of the insight seems to be 160+Nm at 1000-1500rpm

My SA recommend Solar Guard, price at RM1000 but I only have to top up RM250, rest subsidized by him.

Spec : Side/Rear Transparency 50%, U-Violet Reject 99%, Heat Reject 63.20%; Front similar spec but transparency 70%.
*
the side and rear windscreen are already UV rejecting
so do check it's transparency level
my wife korean car has all round heat/UV rejecting glass and they are rated at around 70% minimum light transmission

so for your case here, if the side/rear has 70% default light transmission, a 50% transparency tint will give less than 50% light

Nope unfortunately, for brake auto lock that one need aftermarket mods... Stock auto lock and unlock system only supports those mode I stated above.. smile.gif

You guys can check out manual when your car arrived... Inside there they teach step by step how to program...

Cause I dun liked the auto unlock mode for my Civic, therefore I program to off it. For me Auto Lock is good no matter in which mode, but auto unlock is somehow dangerous. But most people will program to Speed Lock, and Ignition Off Auto Unlock.

Generally, Insight 1.3 vs Prius 1.8...

Alternately, Insight is fully CBU unit while Prius stripped down much more

Moreover, the price difference between 2 models Insight sub 100K at RM98K, Prius around 130K+...

And, maybe do you really need a 1.8 for hybrid?

Finally... Test drive and get impressed yourself.
*
i don't really think that the prius is stripped down
it still comes with 7 airbags, just like in other markets compared to the 2 in insight
the 15 inch rims are the standard alloys for prius, while the 16 inch is an optional upgrade
if budget allows, prius is a pretty good choice actually

Auto cruise can save more petrol automatically. So getting rid of auto cruise to me is like
losing another way of auto save petrol.

I only buy car with auto cruise. No auto cruise will get lower mark from me. Hehe
*
if on flat road then it saves
but if the road starts to climb, it is a different story
drove a civic on the NS highway, once reach the slopy part (which is quite common), then it's time to open the i-VTEC!!!

HONDA claim:
Maybe I can set it to 48 km/h (equivalent to 30 mph) and then hopefully it'll use electric motor more. tongue.gif
*
this makes me wonder, if we are on a downhill slope, do we need to brake the car to keep it below 48km/h to keep the engine off?
Or is the computer smart enough to detect that the engine load is very low and can still be shut off even if the speed exceed 48km/h?

I also just tested the TDCI ( damn you Gogo!!) and it was a pretty sweet ride. Interior kinda sucks but the driving experience and ride comfort was pretty good. Now I kinda got my sights set at the petrol variant cos of the 0% interest rates and ESP (free maintenance for 3 years or 60k km) but will wanna test that first.
*
petrol will probably disappoint though
and ESP != free maintenance tongue.gif

well, if u buying car now, I'm not sure u can until 2014..lol

Also, the Ford Focus have blower aircond for behind passenger. Many gadget like wiper sensor, auto dim mirror,
auto headlight sensor, power window using remote control and a lot more gadget.

Further more, it is using turbo diesel engine coupled with wet dual clutch 6 gear powershift.

The combination of this make the car awesome to drive.

Also from http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/all-new...ocus-2011-01-14

Top gear said the old Ford which we're talking now is actually better in handling compare to new Ford. tongue.gif
*
insight got auto wiper and light isn't it?
