my guess is that the earlier batches has a lot of white units as i guessed HM estimated that the demand for that colour to be very high

QUOTE(adamking @ Mar 11 2011, 11:15 PM) Wah... toyota and honda japan factory close bcoz of the tsunami. according to the news, the Suzuka plant has resumed productionhttp://carscoop.blogspot.com/2011/03/toyot...down-after.html Not sure it will affect delivery or not. I was looking at footage in youtube, quite devastating. Suzuka is where Insights are made |

i guess delivery for the immediate 2 months will still be ok, just as what HM said
beyond that, we'll just have to wait and see |

well, for some where the company gives interest subsidy, longer loan period doesn't cost them much
and for some, even if they have the cash, they rather take a longer loan but put the cash elsewhere where the return could be higher |

QUOTE(voscar @ Mar 24 2011, 09:54 AM) it has ivtec + 2 spark plug and valves per cylinderAdded on March 24, 2011, 10:31 am QUOTE(jeremy0 @ Mar 24 2011, 09:56 AM) After driving the hybrid for 3 days, it is a big change compared to my old civic....the car is great in the city and i do enjoy the engine start stop feature esp there are no traffic jams in ipoh town.... CC5 should be quiet as it is supposed to be comfort tyresFuel consumption is excellent and the 40 litre fuel tank is very friendly to my pocket...I average about 100kms a day travelling from my house to my workplace in Kampar. I manage to hit about 155 km/h during a test run stretch and overtaking is a breeze.... My only concerns are the noisy dunlop tyres....since they are the same size as the Honda City tyres, they only have goodyear assurance and conti CSC5 at the moment....I've been using Michelin tyres on all my cars but they do not have one for 185/55/16 at the moment...can anyone recommend a pair of quieter tyres This post has been edited by electron: Mar 24 2011, 10:31 AM |

QUOTE(groovy @ Mar 25 2011, 04:42 PM) Of course it can still run. You're good for another 100km at least. I have tested this but it is not recommended to drive on mostly empty tanks because the oxidation from the unused tank may damage the engine not to mention that it might put extra stress on the fuel pump |

QUOTE(infinitium @ Apr 4 2011, 01:17 PM) use semi-syn enough lah... esp w/5k change interval. more than sufficient. i would prefer changing cheaper oil (semi-syn) more frequently v.s. fully-syn for 10k more frequent change will incur more labour charge but more importantly, is the time spent going to the SCbtw, the oil filter is rated for 10k km |

QUOTE(lovencare @ Apr 6 2011, 08:43 PM) Oops i mean the Buatan 2011 as for the car unit itself. Yeah I have the same thinkin in the 1st place which week 50 is very close to year 2011. But what interested me though is that my friend had a few similar cases b4 with CBU unit. He mentioned the tire's manufacturer date shouldn't be more than 2 months from the day you collected your car. FYI my car was collected on March. Else either it be an inside job or the car itself is old. Will get more confirmation with Honda and my friend b4 decided what to do next. Just doin myself wat's right as a consumer, coz this is not a cheap car. shipment from japan + custom clearance + registration would easily take more than 1.5 monthsBtw do you own Insight? Appreciate if you could provide the manufacturer date of you tire as well if you don't mind. Thanks. don't be too finicky over these matters you are buying a CBU car, which unlike CKD cars, doesn't leave the factory a week or two before the delivery date |
