Don't panic, its not a big deal. If you try it again does it says the same? Is it E: something? If there's an error message it would help.

if the internal storage is your main problem, then there are ways to solve almost completely,
but that would require you to root + s-off your phone
you need a non-Sense ROM that has A2SD+ and also flash a different hboot for larger internal storage (/data) partition
but the end result is totally worth it.
currently I'm on MIUI ROM with N1 table hboot and applied the "cmtd storage solution for MIUI",
now I have total of 286mb of internal storage, with 199mb left after 83 user apps installed
just an example to give you an idea what you will get after going through all the trouble of rooting + s-off
*
This is completely new things for me...
so this is what you guys mention bout 'rooting'?

QUOTE(ShinnKQ @ Feb 16 2011, 07:00 AM)
Nah, this phone was blindly designed where it's not really aiming for >30 apps or so.

If you really wanted a phone for such i9000 would've been a more ideal sol.
You can do App2SD shift via Manage Applications but it will still not be enough eventually.

Unless you are a faithful user then better get yourself an ipod tough like me tongue.gif =]

or you could wait for SGS 2 to come out then go swap for SGS (has 1Gb internal nand iirc)
*
yeah, the i9000 did caught my attention back to the days when im surveying for my new phone...but finally i bought the desire...maybe bcoz of its UI...i love it so much...well, that time i thought the apps in default can be stored in sd...

u mean ipod touch rite?
well, im aim for ipad (or something like it...whole lots of things like ipad on market nowadays...) for my next purchase...maybe next years...im not a well paid guy...

i shud think what shud i put in my sd...still got 7Gb left... sweat.gif

QUOTE(phgmail @ Feb 16 2011, 01:18 PM)
easy2 je,,
learn step by step la..
first install tasker (it is paid app) or find in google for ehem version.
then follow tyja's instruction rclxms.gif
*

You are not stuck in a serious problem don't worry. When you browse in recovery mode, are you able to browse the SD Card? Let me reboot my phone so I'm in the same page as you.

Yes. You didn't wipe data/ factory reset right? You should be able to boot into your phone. Are you still on stock ROM?

Added on February 16, 2011, 10:47 pmI cannot remember if creating ext3 partition requires a format. But better separate creating an ext3 partition and flashing ROM. Can you boot normally?

So you solved already? Anyway the scenario as below.

If you format your SD, you should be able to boot back into your phone.

If you wipe your phone, you should be able to install a ROM from your SD by selecting Install Zip from SDCard in clockworkmod.

If you format your SD and wipe your phone, well, you need to take your SD card out, plug it into another phone or other methods, copy the ROM zip into your SD card, put it back into your phone and install the ROM.

Added on February 16, 2011, 11:06 pmAhh ok that one. I dont know what is the cause but this is what I do. After selecting Install ZIP from SDCard, you are presented with 4 options right? Select Toggle Signature Verification, this will turn off signature check. Then select the zip and install again. It will work. This is the E something error question that I asked earlier smile.gif

Internal memory still same. Just that with a2sd+when you install apps its automatically installed in your ext partition so that it doesnt eat much internal memory.
