fool proof test:

after u have the compass stationary, align your finger to the arrow. then, turn your phone any direction while keeping it align to the ground, the arrow will still same as where your finger pointing

There's a Nokia thread here on N8 PR 1.1 roll-out list by variant.

http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Sof...ule/td-p/923407

The NOkia rep has noted that the included excel list is not complete and is supposed to give a new one on the 14th of Feb (most likely 15th Feb here).
A Malaysian N8 user (059D1F9 - most likely a pre-order customer) has posted about "our" upgrade dilemma. Hopefully Nokia will take action on it.

Fellow LYN N8 army can also post/spam that thread to hasten Nokia up.

Good thing also is the "promise" of continued updates on S^3

Symbian won't die. But don't many expect high-end smartphones from Nokia to be using it in the future. They'll still probably keep it for their low to midrange phones.

Can it be done via phone ? And in pc , connect in Pc Suite or mass Storage ??

The default file browser can do it. Open up the directory containing the music files, touch and hold the file and select rename.

Great to see LYN users posting on that thread. ehehe.

Yvonne @ Nokia says:

"with week07 I mean the week now starting Monday, 14th Feb. We'll also have an updated list tomorrow during the day that has more variants in it. I've noticed that there are still some SIM-free country variants missing (for everybody who notified me earlier in this thread) and we'll crosscheck those on Monday why they haven't been on the list yet."

So let's wait and see; after all all we've been doing so far is wait (and wait and wait summore....)
