There's a Nokia thread here on N8 PR 1.1 roll-out list by variant. http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Sof...ule/td-p/923407The NOkia rep has noted that the included excel list is not complete and is supposed to give a new one on the 14th of Feb (most likely 15th Feb here). A Malaysian N8 user (059D1F9 - most likely a pre-order customer) has posted about "our" upgrade dilemma. Hopefully Nokia will take action on it. Fellow LYN N8 army can also post/spam that thread to hasten Nokia up. Good thing also is the "promise" of continued updates on S^3 This post has been edited by Eoma: Feb 14 2011, 02:05 PM

QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Feb 14 2011, 05:25 PM) Can it be done via phone ? And in pc , connect in Pc Suite or mass Storage ?? The default file browser can do it. Open up the directory containing the music files, touch and hold the file and select rename.

QUOTE(sklchan @ Feb 14 2011, 06:06 PM) Great to see LYN users posting on that thread. ehehe. Yvonne @ Nokia says: "with week07 I mean the week now starting Monday, 14th Feb. We'll also have an updated list tomorrow during the day that has more variants in it. I've noticed that there are still some SIM-free country variants missing (for everybody who notified me earlier in this thread) and we'll crosscheck those on Monday why they haven't been on the list yet." So let's wait and see; after all all we've been doing so far is wait (and wait and wait summore....) Added on February 14, 2011, 7:41 pmQUOTE(christcwl9 @ Feb 14 2011, 07:40 PM) How ?? U mean file manager ?? Yup. Apps-->Office-->File Manager-->Browse to your files-->Touch/Select the file and hold, select Rename. This post has been edited by Eoma: Feb 14 2011, 07:41 PM

Aah, the media player is reading the (mp3) id3 tags then instead of the actual file names. That you need to change on the pc.

Regarding the missing Malaysia variants and PR 1.1, my question to Nokia Malaysia and the "Rangers" : What are you doing ? Isn't the rangers program supposed to give feedback on the N8. Isn't it to make things better ?
A direct question to Radiance. Please make it right.

QUOTE(andrekua @ Feb 14 2011, 11:59 PM) Radiance and TEXT100 has ceased to be Nokia event organizer from 2011 onwards. Nokia has switched over to someone else. Secondly, with the exception of Chan who had his phone board changed, none of the Rangers encounter any problem with firmware updates. Thirdly, being a Ranger is nothing really. I think Nokia very own team of beta tester gets more info than we do. All we get is the phone to test out and give our feedback. There aint really anything else. We do not have news nor whatsoever 'specialised' access to sensitive information about whats going around. The only significant difference is that you get 'priority' if your phone had problem, and they will escalate it to top priority. Thanks for replying Andre. I do understand the Rangers are not Nokia staff and therefore will not have access to employee-level info, though a voice or bump (from their very own testing / customer focus group) is good enough to know that their customers are waiting. I thank you if you've managed to speak or feedback directly to the Nokia Malaysia personnel. To the LYN army, thanks for getting Yvonne's attention. It's at least on Nokia's list now. Let's hope the W7 promise is fulfilled. This post has been edited by Eoma: Feb 15 2011, 03:02 AM

QUOTE(andrekua @ Feb 15 2011, 07:42 AM) This is not possible as well. Everything has to went through their 'appointed' personnel from the event company. It makes sense to have a PR deal with the communication but does not make any sense if they really wanted to communicate with us better than they did in the past. No worries. We've managed to get Yvonne's attention on our issue. Those who have their product code missing, please post in the Nokia Europe forum discussion link a few pages back. Nokia is listening/reading.

QUOTE(etsongsong @ Feb 16 2011, 03:18 PM) After updated Ovi Maps 3.06 from b03 to b12, update feature can't connect to Wi-Fi anymore despite already set to online and WLAN destination. Any of you encounter this problem? Not on mine. just updated a few minutes ago, and the update map feature worked fine.
