Finally some research and help from Eiraku, I got Emacs installed and typing chinese again

mscim really scary experience, guess I am the 'lucky' one to crash with it 

there is another new virtual keyboard chinese input just released, but I will use Emacs at the moment, it is a 3rd party program without interfering N900 original system (except the keymapping), which I like it that way 

It is released yesterday called mcip at extra-dev, still a bit unstable, it runs on python-qt, i'm not sure about the deb package, previously it is installed one by one via x-term, someone repack it into deb for beginner, so I didn't confirm the package is complete or not.

yes, this input will sacrifice the vritual keyboard, cause it is altering the virtual keyboard for chinese input.  Do note that mscim MUST be uninstalled and tested original virtual keyboard is working before using this package to change input.

or you can use emacs, this consider as external program, it didn't alter anything original (except keymapping), but the input method is very tedious, you type the chinese in emacs then cut&paste to any apps 

no, emacs do not touch anything on N900 core system, the only thing it alter are just hardware keymapping which till now I didn't find any key not function normally.

as for virtual keyboard, it works as normal, even the func+sym still working

but I do say it is tediuos to type   you can only key one char at a time, no predictive wording. but cut and paste just mere seconds, it didn't impact much. oh, you use keyboard to key, virtual key not used

another plus point is emacs can key in japanese and korean as well

That would be MCIP, but it ruined the original virtual keyboard to make it for chinese input

It hard to finalize what will happen next , people said you can't use eastern language with N900 and yet MSCIM appear, than a year later  MCIP comes, so maybe they can improve the program without ruining the virtual keyboard

Type dpkg --help in terminal (with root access) to list down all package management command.

yeap, but I'm not going to touch on Emmc, maybe get a external card and install it there for a play later, I still like maemo system very much  
there are some out there for a long time 
mscim/scim if you want to lose your virtual keyboard (and crash the system from time to time, you need to remove it and install again)
mcip if you want to change the virtual keyboard for chinese input
emac if you want the tedious way to input, where you have to cut and paste every word but leave both virtual and hardkey intact

don't worry about mapping key, nothing changed in original key layout, just make use of key combination.

Guys, do u experiencing any problem on the (New) Facebook while posting the comment?

Sometimes, when i press 'enter', only half the comment was posted..
I suspect, my internet connection..
So i sit beside my wireless router, same things happen..

Now, to post comment, i need to switch to facebook mobile (which i don't like) Sigh....
