you sure about the bold sentences? I watch the comparison on youtube sensation is suckier than incredible..which I believe SGS2 should be superior than incredible..so how come sensation can be on par with SGS2 samoled?..

You watched comparison videos, he has both.

IMO AMOLED screens are overhyped. In the end of the day as long as the colour reproductions are spot on (no crazy tints) then ok la. Just because SLCDs aren't marketed as a superior display doesn't mean it isn't. Samsung needs to market the AMOLED aspect because they have to fine special about their phone. HTC's banking on the UI.

Can anyone try playing 1080p in the following formats: .avi, .mkv, .mp4 (or it's variant)? Previous generations can only go up to 720p. Curious of the capability to resize to qHD.

For documentation purposes, nothing else (not even to argue why we need more than 2 points):

Sensation's display supports up to 4 touch inputs, the same number as the previous generation of HTC Androids.

Leave it in Auto la. Phone sensors don't handle noise very well, so there isn't really a big difference in terms of noise handling when it comes to ISO selection. Might as well concentrate on getting the exposure right. Leaving it in Auto takes a lot of fiddling away.

Playing with the sharpness will improve things slightly. It's mainly due to the phone over-processing the image, resulting in weird renderings. Tone it down a bit and the pics should look better.

lol no difference one. What do you mean by 'sensitivity'? In photography terms, sensor sensitivity is the ISO settings.

I know for sure fiddling with sharpness will improve things because HTC's stock camera app tends to apply too much noise reduction.

That has nothing to do with the position of the sensor (a bit got la but not very much). For that case you might want to play with exposure compensation. The settings are like [-2, -1, 0, +1, +2] one. In dark places make it go +1 or +2. Or touch focus on the shadow parts [this is forcing the sensor to meter based on the part you touched]. (I'm assuming something important is in the shadows, or else there wouldn't be a need for the shadow parts to show up at all)

^keep ATK as far away as possible. Your phone has Sense3.0, which has it's own task manager, if you're interested in that kind of thing.

The Mobile Phones and PDAs forum was originally a post counted forum. Ever since the Desire HD thread started spamming post and threads the mods made the forum a no post count forum. Which is why you can see people simply replying. I follow trend only.

Which is also the contributing factor as to many forummers' attitude when replying/asking questions. Like they expect an answer when they ask, and quote their question when the Q wasn't answered after 3 thread replies.

Interestingly, Paul O'Brian (of MoDaCo fame) received an s-off unit. Signs of things to change finally coming? Future device shipping with s-off by default?

Just now went to Lowyat for the Angry Birds thing and played with a Sensation on display. Feels better in the hands than a DHD, in fact feels smaller than the DHD. Though not impressed with the browser, still laggy when browsing PhoneDog.com. Browser in Sense not hardware accelerated.
