If you go to Hobby shops, confirm cheaper than Malaysia. Even with the strong yen, they still sell Gunpla much cheaper after conversion. Good place to get stuff is in Ximen, Taipei.

But if you go to dept stores like Sogo and Shin Mitsukoshi, or Gundam Taipei Base it's about the same.

Just back actually, lol.

Even if you don't buy stuff from there, Gundam Taipei Base is a MUST visit for all fans as nearby there is a place that sells dolfies! Hop into the Bannan Line MRT and stop at Taipei Main Station, look for K-Mall, when you get out into the open, or ask a friendly Taipei resident where the Shin Mitsukoshi is, as K-Mall is just beside it.

Next arguably the best place (for me anyway, lol) to get Gunpla is at Ximen. Also on the Bannan Line, get out at the Ximen Station. Get out at Exit 6 and look for the KFC which is actually at the first floor....lol. Keep going straight, you will reach a T-Junction, cross the road to get the other side and turn left. You should see a neon sign of a shop, with "SHIBUYA" on it. I use it as a landmark....The place is actually a shopping centre which is very well hidden...took me a few tries to find it, because all the shops were on the 3rd floor.....It's a pretty old building with the ground floor selling watches and all. Try googling for the places.

But hey finding the place is an adventure in itself as most local residents do not about it, lol. Good luck and have fun in Taipei!
