no need that shit here mate.. we won.. we battered them.. wishing bad things eventhough to a proper c u n t like nani is not very nice. carra's tackle was bad. he's lucky not be given a red card.

i wish suarez got a goal in the game. he was immense. meireles does very good job streching their midfield and defence.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Mar 7 2011, 03:02 PM)
I'm reading various websites and some say that Carra's challenge was THAT bad and that he is THAT kind of player. Now we all know it was a bad challenge but when was the last time Carra injured another player? Anyone? Carra is passionate and this was a passionate encounter. To suggest that he is a dirty player is absurd. Having had his own leg broken by Lucas Neill, he knows better than do deliberately injure a fellow professional. Unjustified label if you ask me.
*
was carra's challenge a bad tackle? yes, it was..

is carra a player that seeks to destroy player's carrier.. that bollocks! he was too much into the game he made that mistake. he realized it and have personally apologized.

nani thinks he too damn cool to wear a shinpad. from what i read it was just a scratch and the picture of horror injury was photoshoped. now he should know better to wear shinpads.

suprisingly, none of my manc friends make a fuss of that challenge.. and they accepted the lost without any usual bitterness. suprise me a bit.. they have grown up now? tongue.gif

and carrol.. i think we have finally found replacement for hyppia on aerial threat..

the greeks with their weird name.. let just call him soto then tongue.gif

soto is good at aerial ball but he is low on the pecking order to play regularly. with carrol begin to find match fitness we will have a decent target man. he is like a more agile crouch and heskey..

yeah, i remembered some did labeled him a cheat. from what i saw of him so far, he is passionate about his football. maybe that drives him to do what he did. i cant remember which game, he does fell down quite easily and get us some freekicks while frustrating the opponent defenders.

before this we have alonso and hamann as the expert of getting freekicks.. but they do it not by acting out. they just clever to manipulate their movement to get a foul.

its about time we have our own actor.. i wouldn't mind that as long he doesn't go over the top ala nani, malouda, drogba and few others.

btw, Soto will eat both vidic and skrtel up. tongue.gif

suddenly all the people in here are angry. lol

its and away game so it understandable why Kenny opt with poulsen. i guess he would satisfied with a draw and hit em hard at anfield. though 1-0 lost is not that bad. it's not the end.

This season is the first time Kenny manage in Europe. Its a different ball game and not actually the same with PL. He is learning and just have faith the 2nd leg will be better.

Cool down abit guys.. your mood swings are hilarious. tongue.gif

rclxub.gif i thought Ajax was in CL also??

ajax finished 3rd in CL so got dropped to EL. thats why.

winning this cup is important if we want to confirm in europe next season. 6th place is not guaranteed for EL now since Birmigham already took one place. So if any team outside the top 5 is in FA cup final we will not play in europe next season.

Here we go. Coverage from the game yesterday. Seems a small section of away fans had one too many to drink eh? I do recall the stadium announcer stating that queues for booze were really long. Then again, maybe they were just classless?

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Mar 16 2011, 01:36 PM)
my only wish is they can step up their level to get themselves more opportunity playing at 1st team.

there won't be the next gerrard or carra. we know that. we also know we never had the next robbie fowler.  sad.gif

gerrard is still my current fav Lfc player. his playing days might less bombarding runs; roy rovers was his comic hero, i think & at times then he felt he needed to do that.

we will soon have to face the fact that despite the good wins we had against Manu & chelsea, we are far off from the top 4, it would be a miracle if we can nick a CL spot but we may just have too much damage done to ourselves earlier.

I miss seeing us at CL, i dont want us to be too long away. we belong there, the club is about winning trophies & euro nights at the highest stage.

sad.gif

the prospect of us getting a good replacement for the likes of fowler, owen, gerrard, carra from our own academy is very bright right now. that kid sterling and suso is very promising.. lets hope they stay fit and choose to play for liverpool when they old enough..

CL is pretty much impossible.. even EL pretty much gone unless we finish 5th or won the cup itself. but its alright if we miss Europe next season so Kenny will concentrate fully on demestic titles. one season out is not that bad. maybe its a blessing in disguise.

QUOTE(mangifera @ Mar 16 2011, 05:03 PM)
Well, we need to groom them early otherwise we don't have enough time to make them glue with current team. The current squad is good enough, we need time and patience for them to glue together. Strategy wise, I think KD having it good enough. And consistency, more than anything needed by Liverpool right now. In view of maintaining local flavour, it's definitely crucial to keep the proud fans glue to their seat.
If Liverpool drop off from Europe next season, it will be hard to maintain current player motivation (and interest) as well as to attract new signing to Liverpool. It's hard to rely on past record and it might create situation like Torres. I hate to bring it up back but he certainly expected something great happened in Liverpool during his time and the team didn't deliver it enough according to what he had in mind. More blow to Liverpool record, it might be harder to wake up. It's modern era football where money attracts lots of thing to success though it might defy that kind of logic in the case of Chelsea which yet to win UCL. Money is not everything but everything needs money. Somehow. smile.gif
*
the thing is, we is certain to drop from Europe competition next season unless we finish 5th or win the damn cup. while i'm agree that some players might looks elsewhere because of that.. i am certain most of the 1st squad will stay. the only player that pops in mind that may look elsewhere is reina. money is everything yes but the owner already stated that they are in it for the long run. hopefully they are true to their word and pour money like they did with Red Sox. player come and player go.. if they dont want to stay during the clubs trouble times its is best they dont stay at all. that's my personal opinion anyway.

Cant understand what do you mean by more blow to Liverpool record. Liverpool has not been Europe's strong contender at least until RB came in. We may won the EUFA once during Ged's management but we are not very convincing in Europe apart from that season and the quarter final with Leverkusen. Maybe foreign players will hesitate to come to Liverpool because we not in CL but not English players. They will come regardless.. we may not win the league for 2 decades but we are still Liverpool.

an almost impossible task..
it took times.. a very long time. we need to start by building the reputations, nowadays every kid wanna join Barca academy, no wonder they can produce more talent.
it requires money.. a lot of money. Barca can spend more than 10m on a talent and send him on loan... for us 10m is a lot even for the first team signing.
and Barca B is playing in a competitive Second Division League.. no a reserve league as in England.
*
i think there's one very good article posted on rawk describing how barca academy or any spanish team works.. basically the way the youth/recruiting system set up by spanish FA is favouring bigger team unlike english clubs

if i have the money i would sell 70% of the players. we are just not up to standard so to speak.

first to sell, maxi + cole + lucas

i don't want to expect much from lucas already, i rather get a normal midfielder that could be like essien , or a black midfielder, can tackle and scare the player off ...

lucas just don't 'scare' the players...so they become daring to close down, and our players body so weak, when they appraoch , we find some way to pass and passed wrongly. sigh how many times seen this.
*
lucas abnormal? black midfielder to scare the players? oh my god.. we might as well hired black MMA or WWE wrestlers. the opponent will scared shitless..

QUOTE(Axel95 @ Mar 18 2011, 02:30 PM)
Players to sell:
-N'gog - He's a striker?? o.O - Sell for 5 million
-Joe Cole - I ike this lad. but his glory days are over.. sorry.. sell for 4.5 million
-Maxi - I always thought he was a class player. Sell for 6 million
-Skrtel - If he is good, hes good. if not, he is shite.. no thanks. sell for 8 milion
-Poulsen - Joke. Sell for 3 million
-Kuyt - he is good but.. this is a hard choice. sell for 9 million
-Aquillani - He is superb with juventus.. he is sadly not premier league standard. sell for 15 million.

total amount from players sell: 50.5 million.

Buy:
Bojan Krkic
Eden Hazard
Ashley Young
Charlie Adam
Gary Cahill
& others

Bojan + Carrol = Class
Hazard + Young = pawning the wings
Adam + Gerrard + Meireless = Owning the Midfield.

pleasing myself from last night's horrible game... sigh...

Johnson was at his best when Kenny switched him him to the left.. but deterioted when kelly got injured and he goes back to the right. Maybe was meant to play on the left afterall.

Out of europe next season i am excited to see how the team will perform. We have only domestic games to focus and the schedule is not as tight. Not in europe for a season doesnt mean the end of the world..
