i'm on RevoHD 2.0.11~~~

n about that flashing radio thingy, should i? or shoudn't i flash the custom radio?? for all i know, my signals are good except when i go to my U's library which i think is made out of 5-inch lead wall~ but, seriously, low signals in my U's library but good or maybe decent outside..so not really a dealbreaker to flash my radio is it?

You mean RADIO S-OFF is not for flashing radio?? only do ENG S-OFF if we need to flash radio?
I thought RADIO S-OFF is meant for flashing radio.. lol..

so if i want to flash radio, do i have to backup my stock radio?

and also, revo hd rom comes with different kernel from stock one?
so by right restoring the backup rom will restore the stock kernel also right?


one more thing, i'm not going to need adb at all by using the simple S-OFF tool from XDA right?
coz my laptop have some problem using HTC Sync and adb with my phone, they cant detect my phone (tried with other pc without any problem)
if i NEED adb then i'll wait until i format my laptop before flashing custom rom..

wonder why yours is like that..
mine just flashed on top of 2.0.9 without wiping..its still rocking good..
battery life is kinda improved from kernel 1.2.2(1.5Ghz) to 1.2.3r2(1.5Ghz)..
this weekend will try stress the usage but for everyday use the performance just suit me well..

Who's having the camera autofocus problem? Anyone want to try to report this problem? THis is the update I got from SiS, but I don't own a Desire HD yet.. lol can PM me ur IMEI/Serial Number

I did flashed to Revo 2.0.11 ....
Feel the phone is sluggish now, maybe because I haven't flash to the required Radio....

Restore back my stock ROM now, will try again tonight.

Radio S-Off is for unlocking your phone so that any telco can be use ...as for flashing radio, need to do ENG S-Off ...well, backup your stock radio first before flashing to a custom one

Yes, using the radio-tool no need ADB ..and yes again, flashing the stock rom will revert back your kernel to the stock one

Revo,LeeDroid,Core & CM all got custom kernel, different from stock one ...

U need to d Eng s-off

actually u can jus use HTC Sync enuf alrdy.. doesnt matter it detects ur phone anot..
mine doesnt detect the phone as well, but then when u starting to use the fastboot command prompt, it wil automatic reinstall a new driver which enable ur HTC sync to detect the phone and now its working perfectly..

but make sure both ur pc and phone had HTC Sync installed also..

Comparing to CM7, its good lor ..dunno about LeeDroid ...but as for now, mine can last me 2 days with moderate usage

i'd like to ask few question about backups, how do i backup this :-
i - My Apps that i installed?
ii - Contacts that i sync-ed to FB/Gmail/Yahoo?
iii - Apn Settings.
iv - Is there anything i missed to backup before starting newer version of rom?

1. MyBackup Root, free from Market.. can backup every Apps at once..
2. Phone > Contact > Menu > Import/Export to SD Card
3. ApnBackup free from Market as well..
4. mayb u wanna backup ur calendar, sms, call logs etc etc. can b done from MyBackUp Root as well..

Install Root Uninstaller > Root Uninstaller > Uninstall Youtube

Reboot to recovery > Flash direct on top of 2.0.9 > profit!!

Well, as for the long and hard way :

1. Use MyBackupPro / Titanium Backup to backup your apps
2. You should have those in your FB/Gmail/Yahoo contact (you can also use MyBackupPro/Titanium to backup contacts)
3. Install APN Backup from market, backup your APN
4. Backup your current ROM (if you like) so that if got problem then just restore back

iim wondering, for those tat can last long, isit u guys on GSM only all the time or?? if on gsm only shud b last longer..

Mine is auto ...but yes, if i put only GSM network, maybe can last me 3 days

arrgh, i cant do tat la, unless im not in KL la.. i wil always turn on data n surf around..@@
but 1 thing i found is, some area in my hometown can get 3G signal, at least from my fren's ip4 can, but i cant get it even wit auto mode, duno is bcos of im using GSM(PRL) mode anot..

to check S-OFF go to bootloader right n is it the same as how to check for ENG S-OFF? then how to install then radio?? got a guide?
