Scientifically, pheromones are suppose to be released by the human body to attract opposite sex, but come to think of it, the pheromone released is not genuinely your own pheromone but scientifically processed pheromone, even if the girl can smell your perfume, she might not be able to recognize that it comes from you and not from another guy!

There are other factors like the polluted air and smog generated from vehicles might also blocked out the pheromone that you apply.

Lets leave out cases like you have bad attitude being really annoying or the girl has nose block / flu. Under normal circumstances where you dress nice, act nicely, does this pheromone thingy gives you extra credit? Anyone here had tried it before? Does it really works like a charm ?

Sure pheromones work. Artificial ones can already be made and works very well. If you're a moth. It lets you smell a possible mate from miles away.

No one has found human pheromones yet. At least those that make you attractive to the opposite sex. And not every species has been found to use it. (Note that this is different from saying that some species has been found to not use it).

There is a story based on this by Eugie Foster. But it's only a science fiction story. Anybody selling your perfumes based on this is selling you snake oil.

dkk is right: pheromones work if you're a moth.

The only thing that we've figured out about human pheromones (they exist~!) is that it helps to regulate women's menstrual cycle...

Yep, that's about it.

I concur with dkk on his view on Perfumes which simply claim too much - I would call such initiatives "junk science".

I fail to see how a cheap (or even expensive) perfume/cologne can attract members of the opposite sex/gender when there hasn't been any breakthroughs in medical science or research that artificial pheromones (made by humans for humans) "work."

Furthermore, wouldn't it be SAD if a member of the opposite gender fancied you just because your cologne/perfume induced him or her to like you? Then he or she likes you only when you put your cologne/perfume on. Haha, I think that is rather silly! cool2.gif

lol. i think human are not really attracted to pheromones, since we had mind to think and judge to know before we start to like something. usually, we like something that beautiful, just by seeing by our own eyes, not smell. haha
