To all sifus and friends

It was an impulse buy, i've been surveying HTiB for like years, surveying sony bluray HTiB but end up buying separate unit of VSX-520-K AVR and Infinity TSS-500 - Just because the shop dont have ready stock.
After finish setup, Playing some band of brothers blu-ray, Now im clueless and start thinking my purchase is way overkill. Am i taking a wrong step? i just want to enjoy good sound sad.gif

What is next guys? icon_question.gif

I can understand and click 4-5 button on the remote, other button is like scribed written in greek to me.
i am totally newbie in this area and any pointer or guidance on how to fully utilize this purchase would be appreciated.

my humble setup,
- 40 inch bravia
- PS3
- astro b.yond
- and looking forward to add a good player which can play almost every mkv, avi mp4 and whatnot file.

sorry if this is a dup, cheers and thanks in advance.

Your setup is modest...should be adequate..

there are many media players out there....

Whats your budget?

Have you run the MCACC setup of the Pioneer?
Should sound much better than a HTiB....

I don't think VSX-520 got MCACC sad.gif
I want to try calibrate but not sure I understand what I try to achieve in the process.

Dunes are well oiled machines...Media players are easy to operate...more so the Dune

But take note, Dune can't play RM / RMVB movie files.....Dune excels in BDISO BDMV files with full menus and of course MKV..when movie visual and audio quality is a no compromise..get the Dune..

If you don't have high end receiver (receiver that able to decodes dts-ma/dts-hd/etc), your rm1.3k dune is no better than the rm100 (rm0.1k) media player... and this condition is a true example of the so call "overkill".

Stop looking! Your PS3 is already the best media player.

Its wireless and it plays aforementioned file format in DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD

have to agree in term of playing bluray disc, but in term of digital content.. i think you need to have dedicated player to play all those avi, BDiso, BDMV, DVDiso, mkv,HDAvi, m2ts, mp4, ts, VC1 and heaven know what else file type coming in the future.
