I quit using the soundcard afte realising it was no where better than my onboard realtek SC..

Most onboard soundcard these days already offers decent sound quality which is why the Siberia USB soundcard will not likely to outperform it. However if we were to compare it with some older onboard soundcard, it might have a better sound quality though. Nevertheless, it'll be important for competitive/professional gamers to have the same exact audio quality no matter where they go for competition. biggrin.gif

The Siberia sound card enhances sound with the virtual surround sound but doesn't really improve sound quality that much.

A safe figure is 100 hours. My audiophile grade headphones are burned up to 500 hours.

As for me, I usually just burn-in for 24 hours and that's it. Just want to give the headset some "warming up". laugh.gif

Usually what we gamers do will be to put all essential software inside a thumbdrive, like your own CS config file, drivers and anything else that you need for your gaming session.

actualy isnt thats the answer? You cant tell whether you are in 7.1 or 2.1 it just sounded the same and the virtual surrond isnt that discreet
The soundcard is just making sure u have the same audio everywhere you go
