anyone here experienced the carrefour syndrome and did the return hose replacement and never heard the tak tak sound from front RHS? could u explain how does this replacement actually settles the problem? photos could be really helpful....

i think i have this problem but can't seem to figure out what is the mechanics behind this problem...so need some explanation from the experienced...many thanks.

mmm mine is 2003 model.... and i had it up to my neck with this noise.... it is so hard to comprehend that it is due to the return hose, i had to order the return hose, it is out of stock for now in proton part centre... waiting for it to be stocked up. when u changed it, how different were the old part and the new one? any difference in shape or anything like that?

when u drive slow over uneven surfaces for e.g. carrefour carpark surface, u hear tak tak knocking sound coming from RHS. According to pre 2002 waja owners this is a proton defect and that is due to the power steering return hose that is knocking against something which i'm yet to confirm from those who had experienced it. So again, for all those who have experienced it, please be kind enough to explain if possible with illustrations so that we understand this problem in full.
