Torres
Funny lah they all, first they said that if Torres goes outside BPL, they can accept. Now Torres goes to Chelsea, called Torres a traitor. Nothing more than a mercenary. And how they labeled Owen Judas, I don't know. That man went to Real which is clearly outside of PL and went back to Newcastle. Plus, they had the chance to sign him back yet they didn't. Thanks to their 'cult hero' Fara. And he signed for us, they label him as they label Torres. Pool fans, entertaining bunch. |

QUOTE(leongtat @ Feb 1 2011, 08:35 AM) Erm.... after all i think we do treat rooney the same way.... don't we??? Thing with Rooney is, that I am mad of, he questioned the old man and the club. You should never ever do that. If he wants to leave, go ahead. Players come and go, Fergie and the club stays. I think that happened every superstar leave a team... love and hate is in a same amount... how much love for a player will translate to how much you will hate that person once they leave you.... i totally understand thou... Btw... the bad news for us is we still had to play chelsea twice! I am not mad at Ronaldo for leaving us. It was very apparent. We got a good deal out of him. So, yeah. Which reminds me of Berbatov. How can fans slag off Berbatov when he clearly told City to f*** off? But fans adore Tevez which clearly is nothing but a mess? Puzzling. |

Anyway, interesting weekend it will be. Chelsea's new No.9 against his old club. I can only imagine the fiasco.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Feb 1 2011, 09:27 AM) Fair enough. I worshipped him in his time here and I don't think anyone, Liverpool fan or not would fantom him signing for a rival English club. It just comes to show that talk is cheap. You almost lost Rooney yourself and it shows that "loyalty" is a word many players use but don't often practice. "Win trophies" = "More money", if you ask me. If he really wanted to win trophies alone, clubs should offer him a paycut knowing they have an advantage. That. We would do the same if there's a better offer from a rival company. It is all about us, that's the first thing that we have in mind. But, I know how you felt, it's never good to play with one's emotions and feelings. It is like dating. You went out with a girl. She told you that she love you. She told you that you're his world. In the end, she dumped you for someone richer and good status. Heartbreaking.Don't blame you for taking a dig. I just feel that there was not reason not to have worshipped him. Added on February 1, 2011, 9:30 am There is a difference I think between being loyal to a club and being a fan of the club. We can't hold it against players for coming and going. Like I've said many times, it's a career to them. They can however still follow the club and keep in touch with the fanbase or former colleagues. You endevour however to avoid stabbing the fans in the back. I admit it, I was a fool for believing what Torres said and it won't be the last time I'll place my trust in a player. You can't call yourself a fool Duke. It is just people knows on which button to push that could affect our emotions. An another good analogy would be a trusting friend that stabs you in the back. Anyway, on Rooney. THAT IS BULLSHIT. I don't know where he gets the idea. It's not like Manchester United is going through a barren spell or anything. It is all about the money. To be honest, he is not doing too good either. Berbatov and Hernandez outshines him. Somehow, I think that he will leave us. Someday. |

QUOTE(roman @ Feb 1 2011, 12:41 PM) how could someone still says Rooney not performing well right now @@ the only thing missing is goals..but overall he's been a superb team player and Berbatov wont score so much if he's not playing his part @@ banyak asisst oso Well, he is. On scoring department. Overall contribution is fine. But lets take our glasses off, Berbatov and Hernandez is way in front of him at the moment. What Rooney needs is Valencia's crosses. So, as we always do, we will have to wait patiently for him to turn up.Added on February 1, 2011, 12:49 pm QUOTE(sunnyK @ Feb 1 2011, 12:47 PM) a rejuvenated Liverpool side with 2 new signing may be able to get a result against Chelsea at the bridge next Sunday . Torres , as a Liverpool player is more motivated to beat us and that's in the past . with Chelsea , he's motivated to beat Spurs and Arsenal or Barca in the UCL I do think that Toon fans will have a diff view on Daglish. Just saying.with a fit Torres at Chelsea , i think they are the only team in this world who could beat Barca in a one off game .the UCL is getting really interesting from now. and don't underestimate Liverpool , i think the suarez and caroll duo could work for them better than a disinterested Torres , once Liverpool sorted out the defence , they be there among the top again . i rate dalglish as their best man to manage them since paisley . although both suarez and caroll have issues before on biting opponents and beating woman and even burning cars , with dalglish there , it will be sorted out and forgotten although i believe dalglish put himself into lots of pressure by buying Caroll at such a inflated price but apparently not much choice as mike ashley too knows how to leverage against the risk of losing their prize possesion believe me , the media will be on Liverpool and Dalglish the moment the silghtest hint the new signing duo ain't gonna work but let me tell ya, dalglish knows his business and from here i could sense dalglish could be at Liverpool longer that many anticipated . at least with the statement of intent form Henry on their latest acquisition , as a footbal fan ,i really welcome the possibility Liverpool will there fighting at the top again with us and the other usual suspect . QUOTE(dundermifflin @ Feb 1 2011, 12:58 PM) haha.. that explain a lot where the Ronaldo's money and our mounting debts goes.. love it.. we are Man Utd, we do what we want.. That. Agreed. im actually quite comfortable with past January window. though IMO we still need a reinforcement in MF or LW, but the players i love to see arent available or the time arent right. summer will be the good time to spend.. Park and Valencia return will boost our squad depth and strength. last minute spending spree by Pools and Chelsea. good for them. both teams probably a bit stronger now. but nothing will change if United can maintain our current form. our squad are well settle and accustomed with title race and pack schedule in 2nd half of the season. Torres, if he can avoid injury, he'll be great addition for The Blues. Luiz will take time to adapt, but he got potential to be a world class CB. i still reckon Chelsea as our main challenger for the championship though they are sitting on 4th. Suarez will adapt PL slowly. Carroll is already PL proven though his game are quite limited. traditional English no 9. glad to see his big fee swallowed most of Torres's fee. both will be useful addition for The Reds. up-coming Chelsea-Liverpool match will be a cracking match. No point in buying someone now. If we wanted, we would do it ala Smalling or Hernandez. |

QUOTE(kamkamparadise @ Feb 1 2011, 01:42 PM) Ronaldo already stated earlier at some point he wanted to play for Real Madrid which is his dream club. plus he move during summer so it is different. Torres is a different matter. a bit shock. Nope. He did. 2003-04 season. And he scored one goal if I'm not mistaken.they'll get over it sooner or later. i think Ronaldo have never won any FA cup bro. |

QUOTE(mhyug @ Feb 1 2011, 02:23 PM) i doubt we lack the motivation after missing it by 1 pt last season and drawing matches and getting back on our stride this season.its there alright, now to carry it to may and at the same time to look out for europe and fa cup. Well motivation is there. But with more FA Cup fixtures and UCL as well, could really be make or break.QUOTE(IcyDarling @ Feb 1 2011, 02:24 PM) could it be that the team's desire not to lose has caused us to look to toothless in away games?? Til they score, we do not really whack kao kao, better play safe type? We aren't toothless, lack of focus from our defense actually costed us those points. But, lets put all of that behind us. |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Feb 1 2011, 06:25 PM) It's very easy to demand of other people, without demanding the same thing from ourselves. Even amongst our own fans, there are many people who like to talk so much about loyalty, but don't think twice about throwing that player away if they don't like him. This. Although, I must say that I am still bitter over Rooney. I will support him as long as he don the colors but I don't think I could trust him after the fiasco earlier of the season. That is my opinion. It will take a lot of him to win me back. Anyways, on lineup tonight. Back four could be back. Showed on SSN last night and from Fergie's interview last week. I reckon that we will be putting out a strong team. I hope Carrick is back. Definitely would love to see Scholesy to partner him. Which means Giggsy and Nani on the flanks. Berbatov and Rooney to lead the line again. |
