hi fellow sgs users, havent posted in a long time but i still follow this thread, moving quite slow recently maybe it will pick up again after ginger bread is released.

anyway, i've been using stock video player to play most of my video files but it seem to have problems with flv files. out of 10 files only 1 could be played the rest is "unsupported".

i've also previously had problems with some avi files, i copied a whole bunch of files into the phone hoping to watch them during my vacation and all of them cant be read. so frustrating. for those avi files, to make it readable i have to convert them to wmv which takes like forever just for one file to be converted. anyone faced this problem before.

any recommendation for a good video player from the market?

Your videos are in 1080p?

You may want to try rockplayer from the market

no la, not even 720p, its low resolution video. will give mobo a try. but the VLC in the market can it be used as a video player? anyone tried before?

I am finding moboplayer to be a better video player than rockplayer..

Whoever want to buy my old SGS when SGS2 come out, feel free to reserve with me in advance tongue.gif My current SGS should be  about 1 year old, so no more warranty, looks almost perfect 9.9/10. Will give personal warranty though, looking to sell at about 1.4k biggrin.gif PM me for more details la, got freebies also  brows.gif

wahlau, ur very advanced!! SGS might not worth that much when the SGS2 finally arrives. besides, i have my doubts about the battery life of the SGS2 and the upgrades dont seem so significant. i just hope Gingerbread will be available soon for SGS.

Kies... no wonder. smile.gif

LOL, do you have a Kies alert on this thread or wat??!! but i agree, i dont use that piece of crap too. samsung should really create a software for only Android phones not share it with its Bada OS. but i heard the latest Kies is slightly more pleasant to use, couldnt be bothered to try it though

The latest one not so fast and snappy. You should try Insanity rom.  Boot screen like PC.  Fast and snappy.  nod.gif
