Some of the main improvement of SGS2 which I like are:

1) 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash
2) Front camera is 2 Megapixel.
3) 1 Gig Internal RAM
4) Matt back cover casing (will not be a fingerprint magnet I think).
5) Not sure if it is 1080p HD recording?
6) Bigger capacity 1650mah battery.

what i like is the SUPERAMOLED+, dual core and design! biggrin.gif

i can't seem to upload it here. you can download from the link above. if i'm not wrong the megaupload link(for zsjpe) is for jpd modem.

There is both ZSJPE amd ZSJPD link. You mean ZSJPD is correct link?
*
nono should be ZSJPE. i meant the megaupload link somehow directs you to JPD download which is the wrong one. i used rapidshare

if you have not download, this is the one

Q. i've installed speedmod kernel. should i enter recovery mode and enable all the tweaks?

TQ.

Not sure should it be enabled.. I've tried enabled it. Guess what? Quadrant score slightly lower and battery consumption slightly higher than turning them off! Maybe this happens only on mine..  hmm.gif Btw this was tested on k13b
*
somehow it makes the phone smoother i guess, battery drain not really an issue on my sgs
QUOTE(uan @ Feb 19 2011, 12:37 PM)
in progress now. stock ROM from kies + speedmod 13b + enable recommended tweaks + enable lagfix (ext4).

quarant score 1329. not bad.

i hope battery last longer.

seem that my sgs dated 2010.05.28. any gps fix advice?

thanks again!

try my gps at another location and it is still superb.... the best i seen so far ever, period..

im not sure whether it is the modem cause i just change to zsjpe or it is the gps aid.

i try uninstall gps aid and delete the gps data, reboot. and my gps still locking fast and superb.

so here it is,

im calling out to all SGSrian to try and experiment this, especially those who keen about GPS

1st, flash zsjpe modem:
http://hotfile.com/dl/105928901/febb795/ZSJPE.tar.html

put the .tar in the PHONE section of odin. no pit, other leave blank.

this will not wipe the phone.

test the gps out using any gps test app. and take note, the time of locking, the signal strength and the accuracy, the number of satellite
THEN, you install https://market.android.com/details?id=ltodo...e=search_result

if native mthod fail then do the brute force, you must have internet connection....

do another gps test, and take note of the difference using gps aid and not using it

Added on February 19, 2011, 1:53 pm

no, we cant, if you use ADW launcher, you can create catalog, and sort them using the catalog,
*
i did try using gps before installing gps aids. i guess it's the modem that makes us getting a fast gps lock. gps aids doesn't help that much ohmy.gif

using zsjpe

just download through native method. if can't, then use the brute force. advisable to download frequently i guess tongue.gif

at least with flagship + jpy + k13b i managed to get a lock just now... 1st 2 tests outdoors within 30sec, and 3rd test 95 secs after deleting gps data
*
