Which is a good portable rechargeable amp to pair with superlux headphones? Want to start budgeting for these cans

You don't know meh. Use headphone need water cooling one    Remember go buy one ya.

Anyone wanna start a bulk for this

I was at INSTRACO this afternoon and had a chance to test out few 'new' models that I have not checked. The most memorable and impressive was 662. The salesman also said the 661 which is the higher model (and more exoensive)was sold out. The last buyer even took the demo unit! There is a 3 months wait for the next supply circa Chinese New Year.. I may be getting the 662.. 

I always test there.. 

Oh gawd. The HD668B is just... so darned good  I didn't do any burn ins, just take it out from the box, plugged the 3m cable into the PC, and voila. At first, it sounded bright and lacked bass, so I did some EQing on foobar and it hit the right spot. And it just fits in nicely with some stretches and adjustments on the pads, though right now it is still a bit tight, but acceptable. Just my first impression by the way.

-Deep, tight bass when EQed.
-Nice instrumental separation, clarity and soundstage.
-Need to tame the highs though.
-Clamping is a bit tight, and my ears sweat a bit on the pads.

I just made the right choice getting HD668B instead of HD330

Current setting:
Onboard Realtek -> foobar -> HD668B.

Okay got my HD661 from Bro Trio yesterday    ... tested last nite..    now burning at home..

What i discovered was that I can hear static noise at low volume  .... which was never there when I was using my cheap audio technica before... it goes like tic tic tic tic...at random interval... I think it came from my PC anybody have this problem before on any superlux model? I wonder why it never show up on my ATH-SJ3 before. Is it because HD661 too sensitive or too detail? I am driving it straight from pc to the HDD661 no amp or dac yet..

Thinking to get amp-dac next any suggestion for a sweet cheap combination

I have HD440. Only about 30 hours in. It has improved since coming out of the box. But I feel the driver is still very stiff and tight. I think she needs more burn hours to open up better. I will try to give in 300-500 hours to get the best out of it.

Once done, I'd be happy to put this up for demo in a gathering, or do a loan-swap since I am curious to try other models.

Better still, if anyone is keen to contribute by giving a thorough review of HD440, I'd be happy to borrow it.

I am also considering to mod it by adding sponge inside the earpads - hopefully can improve comfort wear. Did anyone try something like this before? Would be great to have a reference before i do it myself

I tried the tissue and sock mod

Removed it cuz it didnt improve anything

Onboard audio? Meaning?

Will it give me punchier bass for my HD661?
