Superlux are not comparable in every way to higher end products. But under favourable situations, they can come pretty close. And they certainly are very enjoyable. So, I am curious... why do you find that offensive?

And the rule of diminishing returns: To get more performance, both the consumer and the manufacturer wi'll have to pay an escalating price for it. To squeeze the last 10% of performance, they have to spend 90% of the cost to refine the product, get more exotic parts, pay for specialised service, pay for expensive human resource, promote/market the product like crazy, etc... So it is not surprising that Superlux is comparable in certain areas.
Besides, some guys here own both high end gears and cheap Superlux cans... and they just wanna compare for personal reasons: and is that of any serious consequences to you?

And who says big brands like Westone, Final Audio, Earsonic don't spend big budget on marketing? They don't advertise in local magazines doesn't mean they don't promote their products using other means (e.g. sponsorship, forums, paying for artists as ambassadors, sending review units, etc). Probably less than Monster, but still huge amounts of money.
