try getting a dac out to amp den to phones. i don think the xfi sounds very nice. i'll look at audio gd nf 12

50ohm is quite easy to drive. my iems are 50ohm but i feel tat on the fuze a little more juice would be better. just feels a little lack in power

the xfi have on board amp. by using a amp u amp-ing the already amped sound out of the xfi, which i think is not really recommended.(read it b4 but forgot).
n @ Hackezkk. i would not recommend that setup cos from dac out u cannot adjust volume and also there might be dc offset from dac unless there is coupling caps out of the dac. i would always recommend an amp after the dac.

what the dac does is covert the digital signal from ur pc to analog forum.
n ur amp will amplify the signal to volume required for ur listening. normally by going thru an amp the sound will change due to the parts inside the amp modifying the signal.

agree that the high are harsh. I m using the sr850 which is actually the same as the 668b. the pads are hot! hope trio get the velour pads soon.

lol if i put max on my soundcard i would go deaf instantly. not onboard soundcard it's the ht omega claro with asio i cannot only listen max at 25-40 volume else i will go deaf

don bother with the e5 it doesnt really improve things. What u need is a dac & amp.

don forget a dac if u are using a laptop/desktop for source unless u are using dedicated sound card.
By amping the onboard sound chip it's still will sound bad esp. if there's a lot of static.
