People who having weird weird experience during files reading or some funny funny files missing or files unable to be open...please do scandisk on the drive using mass storage method with file system fixing...although I'm still not seeing any memory corruption on the N8 but this is what I'm doing on my last 5800xm...and for defragmentation I'm agree with GKWONG where it's unnecessary because the flash architecture are totally different with the mechanical harddisk... nod.gif

i overheard that if u flashed UDA (hacked UDA now) then updating to 2.0 wont be any trouble. yet, u still get hacked phone. Just dont reset it. (i remembering somewhere i read, but its okay, its not Nokia will launch tomorrow, who know? biggrin.gif tongue.gif )

btw, i own last time SE K810i, I-mobile 902, SE S700i. N95-1, N95-8GB, Toshiba 904T, and N5800 no problem and they serve me almost more than >1 years. in fact, except Toshiba 904T and S700i (stolen, dammit) all working and functional until today. I do understand defrag will shorten your device's life, but once in a while, no problem for me. i dont think you defrag your computer everyday, even myself set once a week! but that is for PC la...

tips: after installing all apps/theme/games and transferring all your data/mp3/photo/software inside, then you defrag. see the difference (note: dont blame me if anything happen!). My young brother own N8 Dark Grey as well, and mine is orange. Same day bought, i tweaked mine due have knowledge in up-to-date symbian (i mean i own S^5, not much diff with S^3) (he first time hold symbian, previously using my K810i and N95). 2 days playing, then i flash mine with hacked UDA, author:faenil (do google him by urself). To be honest, my young brother hav all the lagging, even he think want to re-sell back even only using not more than 3 days. after i borrowing mine, he impressed then said : "abang, kau hack je phone aku tue. aku nak laju cam kau". tongue.gif brows.gif until now, no issue for him, and yet he just showing off to his friend who using I4. lolz laugh.gif

Edit: i use software Defraggler for defrag, by Piriform (who invented CCleaner as well). Who wonder you want to try. brows.gif

GLOBAL –Nokia today releases software update 1.1 for the new Symbian devices – the Nokia N8, C7 and C6-01. While the new Symbian software offered great performance and features from launch, the updates will make it even smoother to use.

Most of the updated features are not directly visible to end users, but together, they will enhance the user experience of each Symbian device. Both the quality and the stability of the devices will be further enhanced. In addition to numerous tweaks and fixes, there’s also some new content. More details below.

1. Meeting requests can be accepted directly from email invitations;
2. Maps integration in email, which means people can view the meeting location on the map when the address is mentioned in the location field in the invite.
3. For Nokia N8 users:
a. New Quick Office 6.4 editor version, which offers editing possibilities and allows zooming in & out in Word documents.
b. Three high quality games will also be preloaded on new devices – Need for Speed Shift, Real Golf and Galaxy on Fire. (In some countries, Need for Speed is replaced with Asphalt 5). For current N8 users, these are available for free from Ovi Suite & Ovi Store.

You’ll be able get the update through Software Update on your device or using Ovi Suite. We’re warned that the update may be quite a large download, especially for Nokia N8 users. So make sure you’re on a free WiFi service when you choose to update or use Ovi Suite to install it.

The standard, non-customised version of the software is available from today. Country (SIM-free) and operator-specific variants will follow soon.

We continue to enhance our smartphone experience throughout the 2011. Today’s update is by far not the last one you will see – be assured that there are further goodies on the way.

He said no need, because on the earphone got zitron sticker easy.. Then I show him on my phone one peel of already.. He said if anything happen later a bit hard la... But he said maybe he will find a way to make it okay. rclxub.gif
