Hi, got a question here. How do you 'preload' an ovi map? Whenever I use my GPS offline, I have difficulties searching for locations. Is there any way I can load the full map into my phone?

The performance of fluidity/responsiveness of my N8 decreasing from day to day..... is it because i stuffed too much things inside the 16GB?

Memory left: 2.1GB

i tried.. izzit only letters by letters recognition?
meaning that if i write hello.... it will have to detect h first then e then l and so on.. ? not the whole word as 1?

Yea.. Mine also like that. But why so much space? What you put in? Mine left 10 gb on phone and 5 gb on mem card. Try uninstall apps that you don't use or that are uncommon among what others are using

the map is edi inside.

tat one is the incompatible version for our phone. Tat's why i say must dl from ovi ma.

speaking of N8, PR1.1 was near to be released.. tried it on Ovi Suite but still, failed..

HAHAHAHAHA.

if PR1.1 out, i wanna wait a few fellow update it first. then i re-check the review. since im using hacked UDA currently, I am really satisfy. No lag at all, everything smooth even my memory left about 3gb+. loaded season 3 and 4 House MD series, playing Sims 3 HD and browse internet like PC. really superb i can say.

p/s: those who having hard time with this N8, think it as a PC would you? i mean, just think and act it would be like that, after doing installation, u must reboot. a while, just restart your phone. sometimes, do defrag your disk (this method u try if you dare, if anything happen dont blame me. In fact, i defrag my E: and memory card since SE K810i era). Update to the latest software, means, if you using v1, v3 out already, u need to update it. Keep this thread up!

defragmenting will only kills your flash memory faster. There are a lifecycle for rewriting on the flash memory. The flash drive is not like our normal mechanical HDD that read/write on a platter which defragment will helps. Data can be directly access anywhere in the flash mem without moving the slider to each tracks like our HDD does.
